Hannah Adler is on her way to NYC for an important job interview. Well, important to her mother, Lisa Adler, who only cares about the family's image and how it's portrayed by the media. Hannah isn't even sure what she wants from life. She isn't even sure she wants to get into fashion. While taking a detour through Colorado, her car breaks down. Lucky for her a tow truck driver from the town they are near see's her and offers to help. Unlucky for her, they don't carry the part for her car and she'll have to stay in the hotel in the small town until that part comes in.

Southwood CO, is a small town, not at all like the busy, packed L.A. that she is used to. When she decides she's hungry and heads for the diner that's right next door, she runs into a man on her way out. The man, as she is beyond shocked to see, is her ex-boyfriend Brian Oakley. There's still left over feelings between the two and she now has to decide if missing her interview is worth finding out why he really left her. Could staying behind in the small town of Southwood be Hannah's Fate?
