I sent various text messages to Clare and Tommy, as well as Drew, who were shocked at the fact that I had left the school campus with Jay. I myself was still wondering if it had been a good idea that I came with him. I was starting to regret just how curious I was about new things. The drive with Jay was short, but I was still grateful when he finally pulled into the driveway of a small decent sized house. There was no denying that I was intrigued about what Jay's parents would be like and whether they knew of his little activities that led to his reputation - I mean my parents did and always decided to turn a blind eye because they figured if they didn't acknowledge it, then it didn't exist.
Jay shocked me by quickly getting out of the car and opening my door for me by the time I had unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed my bag that was by my feet. Mumbling a low 'thank you' I followed Jay into the cozy looking tan house, to which he held the door open for me as well. His chivalry threw me off immensely. HIs actions and reputation didn't give off the idea that he was a chivalrous gentleman. Hitting and quitting it with girls all the time wasn't the biggest way to express being a gentleman and I wondered if this was just a show for me or if how he was at school was a show for everyone else.
When I entered the mini hallway that lead to the rest of the house. I was thrown off by all of the decorations and family photos. The houses that I went to, even my own, usually were all about clean and spotless look so family decorations or abstract decorations. In all honesty the fact that he didn't live in a huge house threw me off expecially since he had a very nice car. Jay offered to give me a tour of the quaint house which I quietly accepted. Jay led me down the little hallway, pointing out and naming the people in the pictures. The majority of the pictures were of him and Mr. Hayes going on trips, but there were a few family photos. One he said had his whole immediate family : his parents, two sisters, his brother and himself. I was blown away at how flawless his whole family looked as a unit. They were all pearly white smiles and smooth tanned skin. His father was a tall dark handsome man and his mother was a blonde goddess with hazel eyes. His two sisters looked very slim and similar to their mother, but both had dark eyes like their father. Then there was Jay and Mr. Hayes who closely resembled each parent. Jay was basically a mini me of their father, but even though Mr. Hayes' build was similar to their dad's his hair was lighter and his eyes were colored and his features weren't as defined and sharp. Either way though they were all walking gods and goddesses who could have jobs modeling if they wanted.
It was freaking ridiculous.
Once we were done looking at the photo in the hallway, Jay led me into the main living room where an averaged size TV, a small cute black coffee table, and two small couches side by side at an angle. The walls were painted a light brown color and were adorned by more family photos as well as paintings. I was very impressed with the surroundsound system that was set up around the living room. There was also the newest Xbox gaming system under the TV shelf and my attention was immediately drawn to the pile of games on the floor next to the gaming system. My eyes spotted the new game of Call of Duty at the top of the stack of video games. Pure unfiltered excitement coursed through my body as I stared down the game before eagerly giving Jay a pleading look. Shock bloomed across his face but he went over to his game counsel and put in the game. I sat down on the couch and waited for him to grab the controls and sit next to me.
"You know how to play Call of Duty?" Jay asked incredulously, getting the game started. I couldn't fight the smirk that appeared on my lips. Just before Jay turned to listen to my response. I put on a clueless girly expression.
"Well, I mean my brother plays it all the time and never let's me play." I fought back laughter as I said the false words.
"I'll take it easy on you then and guide you through it." Jay said kindly, getting that obnoxious superior smirk. I had to bite my lip to restrain my laughter.
