I slept throught the whole plane ride and had to be woken up by the woman next to me when we landed. I nearly injured a few people when I was trying to get off. Home sweet home! After getting my luggage the first thing I did was call my best friend to come pick me up. It was almost going to be 8 at night, but she picked right up anyway.

"Candy! You're back aren't you?" Her melodious voice said happily through the phone.

"Yep. Can you come pick me up?"

"Of course. I'll be there in half an hour."

"Awesome, just come get me in the waiting area on the west end."

"Alright see you soon."

Once I hung up the phone, I found my way over to the large area with rows of seats where people waited for their flights. Thankfully today wasn't too busy at the moment so I was able to find a spot that had no one in a four feet radius and I got cozy. I played 2 Dots on my phone as I sat in the stiff airport chair. I was able to pass two of the levels before I ran out of hearts and had to wait for them to regenerate. Ten minutes had passed by so I decided to text my younger brother to kill time.

HEY TOMMY IM BACK :) -C

His response took a while and I was pretty sure that Sam, or one of his other friends, was over and the two of them were playing an intense game of Call of Duty or some other video game.

I smiled, then frowned.

I watched a few Tipsy Bartender videos before my best friend, Clara, finally got to the aiprort. She snuck up on me and covered my eyes with her hands. Before she even spoke I felt a smile appear on my face slowly.

"Guess who!" She said excitedly.

"Jessica Alba?" I replied hopefully, snickering as she immediately withdrew her hands from over my eyes.

"You suck." She stated flatly as I turned around to see her annoyed expression.

"Yeah, I know." I said back to her, smirking.

"Whatever. Let's go you loser." Clara flicked her hair over her shoulder and walked away.

Smiling from amusement, I grabbed my suitcase and followerd her out of the airport. When we got outside I took a brief moment to admire the beauty of Manhattan. I absolutely love Manhattan with my whole entire being and never wanted to leave. Content to be back home, a pep found its way into my step as I continued to follow Clara to her car a few blocks away. She had an '08 Mustang that was all white with black pin stripes along the sides. Her car had been a gift from mummy and daddy when Clara had gotten her driver's license last year. The car was perfect for Clara and her $140 mani and pedi and her $600 outfit. Clara, despite the highly pampered life she lived in - and enjoyed - wasn't a stuck up backstabbing bitch. The girl may like her high end materials, but she truly just wanted to be there for someone. Thank goodness that someone had been me three years ago, Freshman year in English class.
