His Forever[Sirius Black]

5. Remus

Izzy sat curled on an armchair in the Gryffindor common room reading a book. Morning sunlight shown through the windows. Though she was not a member of the house but she always got the password from Lily. She looked up startled from her book as loud noises came from the entryway. Upon closer observation she could see that James and Sirius were helping a stumbling Remus through the door.

"What happened" she asked incredibly worried as she rushed to help.

"First day of the cycle" James grunted allowing Izzy to take his place in holding Remus up.

"Did he not take his potion?" Izzy questioned

"He did but for some reason it's hitting him particularly hard" Sirius responded as they laid him down on the couch.

Izzy pulled chocolate out of her pocket and held it up to him "Eat this, it always makes you feel better"

Remus took the chocolate taking a few tentative bites as Izzy, James, and Sirius moved across the room. "You'll be there with him tonight right?" Asked Izzy her face etched in worry

"Don't worry Iz" Sirius said "We'll be there"

"I just always worry about him" Izzy sighed "Ever since the accident when he was five. I just wish it was me instead of him"

"Izzy you don't think that. There's nothing you could have done to stop it" James said putting a comforting hand on her shoulder

"I was one room over" Izzy said feeling her throat clench and her eyes threatening to release tears "Even now I can't even be around him when he transforms. All I can do is give him chocolate"

"Iz you do so much" Sirius wrapped her into a hug as a tear rolled down her cheek "He's so lucky to have you as a sister and if it makes you feel better, you are ten times better than any sibling I've ever had"

"Half the school is ten times better than any sibling you've ever had" Izzy cry laughed into Sirius's leather jacket

"Hey we got her to laugh" James exclaimed happily joining Sirius in hugging her

"Come on lets go help your brother" Sirius said releasing her.

For the rest of the day Sirius, James, and Izzy all helped Remus and when the full moon came Izzy watched the boys all go into the whomping willow through the common room window.

"Hey Izzy" Lily said as she walked into the common room "Where were you today. I got your class work from all the teachers"

"Remus wasn't feeling well so I stayed and helped him" Izzy said as Lily handed her a pile of her schoolwork "speaking of which can I stay in your dorm tonight. I want to check on him first thing in the morning"

"Sure. You can take you couch" Lily said walking up the dormitory stairs with Izzy. "Your brother has the immune system of a fish by the way. He is sick almost every month"

"Oh yah I guess he is" Izzy nervously laughed as they got to Lily's room.

"You can shower or do whatever you need" Lily said pointing towards a door "bathroom is over there"

"Ok thanks" Izzy responded and curled up on the couch "I think I'm just going to go to sleep"

"Ok see you tomorrow"
