24. A Lie

Izzy stood in shock as the door slammed close in their faces. Sirius turned to her wide eyed and Izzy looked at him the same. "What do we do?" He whispered

"How the fuck am I supposed to know" she began to pace "Oh this is bad, this is so bad"

"Maybe he didn't see anything" Sirius offered

"Like fuck he didn't" Izzy scoffed "we were lip locked. Hell we were more than lip locked, your tongue was halfway down my throat while we practically groped each other."

"Ok so he saw everything" Sirius pinched his forehead in concentration "God how do I tell my best friend that I've been shagging his sister for months"

"Maybe don't use the term shagging" She pointed out "Wait- he doesn't know we've been fucking"

"I mean that's not a better term if you ask me" He pointed out

"No, since he doesn't know we've been having sex, fucking, shagging, whatever, we can tell him it was just a kiss" Izzy said an expression of realization falling on her face

"Isn't better to just tell him the truth" Sirius sighed

"Sirius you are about to go confront a werewolf. Which do you think he'll take better?" Izzy put her hands on his arms gripping him tightly

"Fair point but if we tell him the truth then-"

"Then what, he'll go ballistic, we won't be on speaking terms, and everything goes to shit. Plus you have a reputation" she motioned towards him

"What's that supposed to mean" Sirius frowned

"Nothing, let's just fix this" Izzy brushed past him

"Fine but we're talking about this later" Sirius frowned as they both walked into the house. They walked into the living room to find James putting up the chess set. "Have you seen Moony?"

"I think he went up to his room. He seemed a little upset" James's brow furrowed "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing that I can't handle" Izzy interrupted placing a hand on Sirius's chest signaling him to not say anything.

"Alright" James replied warily

Izzy and Sirius quickly hurried away and up the stairs towards Remus's room. They knocked softly on the door with no reply, they then knocked again a little louder only to hear Remus yell "Go away!"

"Remus it's Izzy" she said in a soft tone of voice

"Piss off" Remus growled through the door

"Mate, can we talk about this?" Sirius questioned

"No. We can't" Remus yelled

Izzy sighed and looked at Sirius who nodded slightly and she tried to turn the door nob. It did not budge. She sighed and pulled out her want muttering 'alohamora' and hearing the lock click. He quickly opened the door to find Remus pacing the room his eyes wild. The moment he saw Sirius he pushed him into the wall using his above average hight to tower over him "You've been snogging my sister"

"Remus get off of him" Izzy pulled at his shoulder

"No, my best mate has been kissing my sister I deserve an explanation" Remus turned back to Sirius

"It was just one kiss" Izzy said softly feeling the guilt of her lie already "It will never happen again"

"One kiss, only one kiss?" Remus's eyes narrowed

"We were caught up in the moment. Me almost being dead and all. That's it" Sirius said his eyes giving away his slightly panicked expression "I will never kiss Izzy again, I swear it"
