His Forever[Sirius Black]

12. An invitation

Sirius laid beside her in her dormitory. His breathing was even and soothing. Izzy found it incredibly peaceful laying there next to him but tried to keep a level head. She knew that this was never going to last. He was best friends with her brother and if Remus ever found out he might never forgive them. Sirius let out a muffled groan as he awoke next to Izzy. He flipped over and faced her, his face quickly turned from surprise to panic to a not so cleverly disguised panic. He quickly sat up pulling on his pants and a shirt.

"I should erm.. get going" Sirius babbled "Got charms homework" with that he left the room.

Izzy sat up and stretched. Sirius tended to leave immediately the morning after and it did not surprise her. She wasn't bothered by it, this way no one had too many emotions in it. She quickly slid out of bed and pulled on her school robes. Glancing at the clock she noticed she was going to miss breakfast so she quickly rushed out of her room.

When she reached the Great Hall everyone was already there including Sirius. Izzy quickly slid next to Lily and across from Sirius grabbing a slice of toast and putting jam on it. It wasn't long before a girl had sauntered up to their table and was sitting in Sirius's lap, tongues down each other's throats. Izzy tried not to gag and slowly chewed her toast. Lily looked above her newspaper in disgust and turned to Izzy.

"Want to get to Transfiguration early?" Lily asked

"Sure" Izzy responded trying not to sound too relieved.

They both walked out of the great hall and the second they were alone Lily pulled her into a side hallway.

"I thought we were going to Transfiguration" Izzy exclaimed

"I thought he kissed you" Lily hissed.

"Who are you talking about?" Izzy asked

"Sirius!" Lily groaned "With that girl this morning!"

"Yah" Izzy shrugged "what about it"

"Aren't you mad at him"

"Sirius and I aren't dating. He can do what he wants" Izzy paused "Well more like who he wants"

"Doesn't it bother you though?" Lily said obviously confused by the situation.

"Lily it was just a kiss" Izzy lied "nothing more. Now why don't you tell me about you and James."

A red flush took over Lily's cheeks and the rest of the walk to Transfiguration was spent talking about their relationship. It seemed to Izzy that things were going well between them, she had never seen Lily talk about a boy like this before. Not even the muggle boy she had dated the summer of 3rd year. Izzy found it quite ironic that after 5 years of James talking non stop about Lily she was now the one gushing over how amazing James is. When they got to Transfiguration somehow James and Sirius had managed to get there before them. Izzy and Lily gave each other a look and quickly made their way over to them.

"How'd you manage to get here before us?" Lily asked

"This castle still has it's secrets" Sirius winked

Lily rolled her eyes and grabbed James pulling him by the hand over to another desk speaking to him in a hushed voice and giggling.  This left Sirius and Izzy to stand next to each other in a practically empty classroom staring at the couple.

"They're cute together" Izzy observed "Lily finally realized that James was mad for her"

"It only took 5 years" Sirius snorted leaning back holding on a desk and pushing his hands into the taking a casual stance.

"Glad she found someone who was just as insane as her" Izzy laughed sitting on the desk Sirius was leaning on allowing her hand to fall next to his.
