"Today is the best day of this whole year" James announced loudly sitting down next to Lily and kissing her on the cheek. It had been a week since classes had begun again and everyone seemed to be down in spirits. Everyday a student received news of death in their family. Whenever a staff member walked into a classroom that was not their own the students grew quiet immediately wondering who would receive the horrible news this time.

"And why would that be?" Izzy raised an eyebrow from her seat across from the couple.

"Today is the qualifying match for the quidditch house cup. Gryffindor against Ravenclaw" James grinned

"Of course, I should have assumed considering that quidditch is your reason to live" Izzy rolled her eyes

"Are you guys talking about the match?" Marlene asked excitedly taking a seat next to Izzy

"Here we go" Izzy sighed looking down at her half eaten plate of food

"Not a fan of quidditch Iz" Sirius smirked sitting down beside her already in his quidditch gear, his hair tied back into a man bun. Izzy looked him over slowly trying to ignore the way her breath caught in her throat as her raised a questioning eyebrow. Why did he have to look so brilliant in a quidditch uniform. Izzy said nothing and just snorted in response turning her head away from him.

"Ravenclaw is going to school your arses today by the way" Marlene took a bite of her toast

"Oh please, Gryffindor could beat you in our sleep" James scoffed

"Mhmm, we'll see" Marlene glared

"That we will" James said standing up from the table "I'm going to go down to the pitch early. See you later Lily"

"So Iz, you going to the game today" Sirius turned to Izzy as James walked off

"Unfortunately" Izzy responded purposefully not looking up from her pumpkin juice.

"Well you should look out for the best beater on the field" Sirius winked

"I'll be sure to look for Marlene then" Izzy said briskly causing Marlene to snort

"Good morning" Remus said cheerfully sliding Sirius and Izzy apart from each other and taking a seat in the middle of them. Izzy was quite fine with this as it was getting hard to not look at Sirius.

"Moony your sister has a stick up her arse today" Sirius complained

"As long as it's not your stick" Remus muttered quietly. Luckily it seemed that only Izzy heard this and she hit him in the arm.

"What was that?" Sirius asked oblivious to what was just said.

"Nothing" Remus and Izzy both said at the same time both looking down at their meals.

"Ok keep your secrets" Sirius chuckled getting up from the table "I'm going to go meet James"

Izzy waited until Sirius left the Great Hall before pulling Remus up from the table "Remus and I have to talk about something"

She pulled him by the arm out into the hallway and out to the green houses snow crunching under their feet. "Can you stop pulling me my arm hurts" Remus complained when they were standing by the first greenhouse.

"Oh you are lucky it is just your arm" Izzy said releasing him

"What's this all about" Remus sighed fixing his sleeve

"You can't say stuff like what you said in the great hall" Izzy hissed

"It's a free country so unless the Minister of Magic himself comes marching in here and tells me that I can't then I'll say what I want to say" Remus growled
