10. Finding out

Izzy paced up and down the length of the room holding the scarf. Sirius sat at the edge of James's bed watching her.

"How would this end up in his room" Izzy wondered allowed

"Maybe he was just helping her study for a class" Sirius offered

"No offense Sirius but you and James are not the sharpest tools in the shed and Lily doesn't like to study in a bedroom" Izzy stressed "she says it 'crushes her study mojo'"

"Some offense taken" Sirius muttered "and what if Lily was helping James study"

"That could be it" Izzy said "but I needed help in astronomy once and she still refused to help me in my room"

"Well why else could it be in here" Sirius groaned

"What if they're dating" Izzy's eyes widened at her revelation

"Iz, James has been after Lily since first year and she's been rejecting him since first year. That's not gonna change anytime" Sirius chuckled

"Think about it. They've been really flirty lately" Izzy exclaimed

"I think it's just all in your head" Sirius said leaning back

"Then I'll just ask them" Izzy said examining the scarf

"Don't do that" Sirius said grabbing her hand and pulling her onto his lap whispering into her ear "Let's go back to doing what we were doing earlier"

Sirius gently kissed her neck. Izzy wanted to melt into him but resisted and in turn whispered "you really want to do that on the same bed that James and Lily may have fucked in"

"Don't even say that" He cried as she stood up "you're wrong anyways"

"Well I'm gonna see how wrong I am" she said walking to the door and yelling "Lily! Let us out! We're friends again! Lily!"

Sirius's eyes narrowed at 'friends' still unsure of what they were. The door swung open, Lily and James stood in front of it . "I knew you two would work it out" Lily smirked

"Yah yah we're amazing friends again, power of friendship and all that" Izzy said "Now why was your scarf in James's room"

"What" Lily asked confusion replacing panic on her face quickly

"Sirius and I found this on James's bed" Izzy held up the scarf

"Oh you must have left it there when I was helping you study for Astronomy" James chuckled nervously taking the scarf out of Izzy's hand

"Aha!" Izzy exclaimed "you two are dating"

"Whaaaaattt" Lily scratched her neck "We are not dating" James tried to mouth 'yes we are' to Sirius as inconspicuously as possible

"Oh really" Izzy laughed "I know for a fact that you never study in a bedroom and you two have been really flirty. Also James is mouthing words to Sirius right now" Izzy cocked an eyebrow as James quickly shut his mouth.

"You are just wrong Izzy" Lily emphasized

"We're dating" James blurted causing Lily to give him the I will murder you look

"I knew it!" Izzy jumped gleefully "See Sirius I was right"

"Whatever" He grumbled "You hardly ever are anyways"

"She kinda is though" James laughed

"I'm going to my dorm" Sirius hissed walking away
