Izzy paced nervously in front of her brother's dormitory. It had been two days since Thomas had asked her out and by far the most nerve racking part was figuring out how to tell Remus. She had never let him in on the romantic part of her life and the one time she did it was completely by accident and she had lied to him about it. Ever since that lie she had been trying to be more honest with herself and others so a situation like what happened over Christmas would never occur again.

She drew a deep shaky breath to calm her nerves before knocking on the door "Remus, it's Izzy open up"

"It's open" a voice replied

Izzy frowned, that was not the voice of her brother. She opened the door and looked around the room. Remus's room had always been very comforting to her, it was covered in pictures of him with his friends and pictures of Izzy and Remus together from childhood. In the center of the room she found the four marauders gathered in a circle around a large collection of packages that Izzy chose to ignore for the moment. "What are you lot doing here?" She asked

"Prank planning of course" James said as though it were obvious "You can join us if you'd like"

"Thank's but I'm actually here to talk to my brother about something" Izzy turned her gaze to Remus who was poking at the packages with his wand absentmindedly.

"Erm alright" Remus stood up pocketing his wand and stretching for a moment

"Actually you will all probably find out at some point so might as well be now" Izzy sighed motioning for her brother to sit back down. The rest of them looked up at her curiously, eager to hear what she had to say. "I have a date this Saturday"

"You what?!" Remus was the first to stand, his fist clenched

"It's with Thomas Harrison" she said calmly. She mentally calmed herself knowing that this would be his initial reaction.

"The 6th year Ravenclaw quidditch captain?" James asked his eyes wide. Remus began to pace the room, his fists still balled.

"Yes" Izzy replied forcing herself to look down to where James and Sirius sat. She made note that Sirius had said nothing and was staring directly at the floor his jaw clenched.

"But he's a sixth year" Peter squeaked also not meeting her eye

"I believe James just said that" Izzy maintained her tone

After a moment of silence everyone except Sirius looked to Remus, waiting for him to say something. He turned and walked straight up to Izzy gripping her shoulders and looking into her eyes intently as he towered above her "If he hurts you he's dead". Izzy nodded in response and he pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back before pulling away.

She looked back at Sirius who's gaze was still aimed at the floor and a neutral expression was plastered on his face "I'll be off then" she waited a moment wishing that he would say something but when nothing came she left the room.

The moment she stepped outside she leaned against wall letting herself breath a sigh of relief. Izzy was grateful that her brother reacted the way he had and it was as good as it was going to get for the time being. As for Sirius it was evident to her now that he either didn't care about what had occurred or was just choosing not to say anything about it. She wasn't sure which conclusion she preferred.

The next day Izzy sat in her dormitory. She had yet to unpack her bag from her time at the Potter's and it sat on top of her trunk. She sighed and flopped onto her bed as Marlene entered the room.

"Why are you looking so down?" Marlene asked "From what I heard you had a date this Saturday"

"Yah it's not about that" Izzy sighed sitting up "I just lack the motivation to unpack my bags from the Potters"
