Second Baby Drama - Chapter 26

ZAYNS POV

I looked down at her, sleeping at my side, her hand on her stomach. She was still burning up. And all i felt was worry. I watched her breathe in and out and thought over the fact that she was still breathing. That was a good thing. I thought that over and over again to make myself worry else  but it didn't work out well. Soon i got out form under her and layed her down on the couch and walked towards the little kitchen on the bus. I grabbed a muffin and sat down on the floor beside the couch. Everyone else was sleep already. I couldn't sleep. I just ate the muffin and watched her sleep. I felt her forehead again and winced, she was really warm. I checked the time. It had been 5 hours since we gave her the medicine. I got up and grabbed it and took out 2 more pills. I didn't want to wake her up, but i had to give her the medicine. She had to get better. I didn't want anything happening to her or the baby. I shook her shoulder and she groaned and rolled her head to the side. I shook her shoulder again and she opened her eyes and looked at me and rubbed her face.

"What is it Zayn?" She asked.

"Take more pills, your burning up again," She nodded and stood up and i handed her the pills and grabbed her a cup and filled it with water and gave it to her. She took them and layed back down. Her eyes fluttering as she tried to keep them open. I gripped her hand. She gripped mine back and i felt how warm she was. She was burning my skin. I sighed and kissed her hand. She smiled slightly and tried to keep her eyes open. I moved hair form her face and looked at her.

"Go back to sleep," She nodded and closed her eyes. Soon her skin started to cool down a little and her hand loosened on mine and i knew she was asleep. But i didn't take my hand from her's. I sat beside the couch. My hand in her's listening to her breathing as she slept soundly. I Still couldn't sleep, even with her cooling hand in mine, i couldn't. I leaned my head on the arm of the couch and looked at the ceiling. We were going to be in New York in only a couple hours. I was hoping she would be feeling better by then. I looked back at her. Her face was twisted in pain. I twirled around and shook her shoulder.

"Rikki, are you OK?" She shook her head and clutched her stomach. I grasped her shoulders and helped her sit up. She let out a sort, high scream and bent over, holding her stomach. I heard russeling as someone woke up. Someone walked into the room but i didn't look to see who it was. Rikki's forehead was beaded with sweat as she grounded her teeth and held her stomach. She let another little scream out and whoever had walked into the room ran to my side.

"What's wrong?" Louis asked. He kneeled beside me and looked at Rikki. She looked at him and opened to explain but then bent forward more and grabbed her stomach again, letting out a louder scream. Louis turned to me.

"Zayn, may i," I nodded and stood up, moving from his way. He moved in front of her and grabbed her hand. She looked at him. 

"Is it cramps?" She shook her head.

"Did your water break?" She shook her head. Louis frowned and took out his phone and dialled someone. After a while he spoke into it,

"Hey mom, what does it mean when someone is in total pain, and her water hasn't broke and she isn't having cramps?" I heard faint talking on the other end, it sounded urgent and fast. Louis's face broke out in a look of fear and nodded slowly. He turned to me,

"Tell the driver to go to a hospital, right away," I froze in my space. Staring at Rikki. Doubled over in pain. Louis pushed me back. I looked at him. He pointed to the front of the bus,

"NOW!" I turned and ran towards the bus driver. I heard Louis say something to his mom and then ask Rikki a question, i tapped the drivers shoulder,

"We have to get to a hospital right now!" He nodded and turned right. I walked back towards Louis and Rikki. She was holding his hand tightly,  then let out another scream. Harry ran into the room followed by Liam. They looked at me but i just stared at them. Liam walked forward and kneeled beside Louis. Louis turned and spoke to him softly. Liam stood up, a shocked and scared look on his face. what was going on. Liam walked back to Harry and spoke to him. Harry looked at Rikki then me. He said something to Liam. He shook his head and Harry walked up to me. He grabbed my arm and turned me away from Rikki. I looked at him.

"What's going on?" I asked. I could hear the worry in my voice. He patted my shoulder as he looked back at the two people sitting behind me.

"Zayn, there's a chance, if we don't get to the hospital in time, Rikki could lose the baby,"
