Chapter 39 - Always There

ZAYN'S POV

I hurried out of the room. I saw her walking towards the front doors and hurried after her. She was outside by the time i reached her. I grabbed her arm and pulled her to the side. She turned towards me, shocked.

"Zayn what.." I stopped her by planting a kiss on her lips. I hadn't done that in a long time he seemed and i wanted her to know i was sorry. I pulled back and looked at her. She looked back at me. I pulled her into my arms and just stood there. She wrapped her arms around me and rested her head on my chest. I could fell her crying softly and i shshed her, rubbing her back.

"I'm sorry i freaked Rikki, i really am, i didn't mean it, i am just so stressed about everything," She sighed and i felt her nod.

"I understand Zayn, it's fine," I sighed and closed my eyes. Kim was getting better, but i was still scared, she could be getting better, and then all of the sudden, bome, something else happens and everything goes wrong. I sighed and put my face in her hair. I was more scared then anything right now. I didn't want anything happening to her or to Rikki. I needed them both. I rubbed her back and rocked her back and forth as she kept crying into my chest. We were both scared. I knew it. But we would work it all out. Not matter what happened. Everything was going to work out. I closed my eyes tighter and just held to me. Not caring if people were watching and taking pictures. I didn't care if these were going to be everywhere the next day. I just wanted to hold her and forget about everything that was going on. Soon she pulled back and sighed.

"We should head back inside," I nodded and we walked back inside. My arm wrapped protectively around her waist. We walked towards her room and she looked up at us.

"Doctor said i'm doing good and that i could even go home tonight," I looked up at the doctor and he smiled.

"Yes,  but only if you promise to come see me for 2 weeks, for check ups," She nodded.

"Promise," Rikki smiled beside me and walked over to her and sat down on the bed. Kim looked up at her.

"Well then, i guess we're all going back to the hotel room today then," She smiled and nodded.  Rikki wrapped her arms around her and held her to her chest. Kim started talking about the game she had been playing with Liam and Harry. Rikki listened. Smiling and nodding. I just stood there. Watching them. Both people i cared for so much, sat in front of me. Safe and healthy and alive. I smiled at Kim's laugh and put my hands in my pockets. The light on the room caught the ring on Rikki's finger. I knew one thing that would make her happy. And i was going to plan it and make it a surprise for her.
