Chapter Twenty-two

Hyeji's wishes

On their way home, inside Chanyeol's car, a strange number keeps calling Chanyeol's phone repeatedly. The call came earlier at the hospital, but Chanyeol didn't see a reason to answer, since it's a private number, and all his friends and family's contacts were saved with their names, who then will be calling with a private number? He just waved it off and continue to drive to a fruit market where he can get plenty of fruits for Baekhyun since he's been selective of cooked food at the moment. According to the doctor's advice, he should be eating lots of fruits and vegetables. Who knows, the fruits might help bring back his appetite.

After the fifth missed call he had, Chanyeol decides to pick up, maybe it's very important and the caller didn't notice his or her number is on private? "Hello, who is this?" Chanyeol answers calmly, but his facial expression changes to an angry one the moment he recognizes the voice of the caller. "How did you get my number?" was the next thing he said. His voice is stern and fury to the extent that Baekhyun felt the coldness in his voice as he spoke on the phone with the person. Ever since he has been serving Chanyeol as his son's Nanny, he's never seen the CEO talk to anyone on the phone like this. Not to his friends or anyone in particular, but this caller seems to make him feel so upset.

"So? How is that any of my business, Hyeji?" Chanyeol responds with disdain. Oh, it's her. Baekhyun sighs, he knows that Jun's mother will be torn on his flesh, especially if she ever finds out about his condition. Heaven knows that he did not see this coming. All he did was have sex as every adult would have. It's not his fault that he's gay, it's not his fault that he's attracted to men, it's not his fault that his boss is attracted to him either. All Baekhyun wants is love, someone that would love him without compromise.

Chanyeol cuts the call on her and drops his phone, but her calls keeps coming in and Chanyeol had so much fun cutting her off. When she took off with her celebrity boyfriend and got married to him shortly after abandoning them, didn't she remember he existed? When he kept begging her to at least breastfeed their infant, or even hear him out and know whom and what he was, she gave him a deaf ear. And now, she wants to reap from where she did not sow? Just because she realized he's wealthy?

Never.

Her calls keeps coming, like back to back and it was beginning to frustrate the CEO. He knows Hyeji, he knows how stubborn she can be, and he has the perfect plan for her. After aborting the calls for the nth time, Chanyeol decides to pick up at some point, "What do you want?"

"More money for what? I gave you five thousand dollars not long ago, what the fuck do you want from me?"

"Do I look like a bank to you? Have you gone crazy! Hyeji?!"

"Listen, let this be the last time you call my number. I don't want to hear it! I don't want to hear anything from you, Hyeji. You and I are done! Do you hear me? Rubbish!" that being said, Chanyeol cut the call and blocks her number immediately. "Sorry about that," He sends a soft apology to Baekhyun who doesn't even think he needs it anyways. There is no need to apologize for talking to the mother of his son.

"No, It's nothing." Baekhyun sends Chanyeol a soft smile and looks out through the window.

Back at a 6-star hotel somewhere in town, Hyeji stays laying on a spa mattress, with her phone placed on her left ear "Hello? Chanyeol I am the mother of your son! You can not treat me this way." Hyeji yells back into the phone. unbeknownst to her, Chanyeol had cut the call on her. "What the hell is wrong with him!" she fumes angrily and tries to call his number over again but the service operator informs her that she has been barred from calling the number. Immediately she realizes that Hyeji screams and throws tantrums. "How am I supposed to be a mother to the son of a billionaire and I can not pay my bills?! I won't let you treat me this way, Chanyeol. Never!"
