Chapter Twenty-four

Mission Impossible -Hyeji

Hyeji and her cab guy follow Chanyeol's car discreetly, to the office. And this is the first time for Hyeji to know the location of the company. She looks so surprised and amazed when she reached the huge gate that lets Chanyeol in but didn't let her, since she doesn't have an official card to clock into the premises. And Hyeji being the stubborn person she is, steps out from the cab to rush in through the gate only to be held back by the chief security. "I am with him, let me go!" Hyeji yells at the man who keeps insisting she returned to where she was coming from.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but you do not have a card. You should at least fill some forms and we can then inform the CEO of your visit. You can not go in like this."

"Why? I am the mother of his child! I want to see my husband!" she screams at the top of her voice, creating a scene, and other co-workers that were already clocking in with their official cards begin to stare at her, her husband? When did the CEO get married? but Hyeji is shameless so she doesn't mind at all.

"Chanyeol! Park Chanyeol! Let me in!" Hyeji jumps and screams over the security man's broad shoulders in other for Chanyeol to hear her. "I will make sure you get fired when I meet Chanyeol. Take a bet you fool!" She threatens the security guard stopping her. Unfortunately, the CEO did not hear her at first. He's inside his car, now parked in the parking lot, and is trying to grab his MacBook, office key, and phones before alighting from the car.

It's only when Chanyeol slammed his door shut, and locks the car for his office that he heard a lady screaming his name, and with the look of things, she seems to be struggling to find her way in. "Who is that woman at the gate?" he beckons on one of the security guards passing by, and the man informs him that the woman claims to be his wife. "What is that supposed to mean?" Chanyeol frowns at the comment and quickly, the security man noticing what he had just muttered, bows in apology, still telling Chanyeol that it was actually what the woman said.

So now, Chanyeol is thinking that there is the possibility that the woman outside his gate with his security could be no other person than Hyeji. His ex-girlfriend and Jun's mother. "Let her in," Chanyeol instructs, and with immediate effect, the security man dials their walkie talkie, informing the front gate about the order from the CEO to let her in.

Hyeji, haven got the signal from the man's reaction when he spoke on the walkie talkie, quickly pushes the man aside and storms into the premises with curses leaving her lips like she owns the company.

Chanyeol stands there, watching her make her way towards him. Deep down, he regrets ever meeting Hyeji. Had he known, he would have listened to Sehun back then, he would have taken his advice not to date her. But then, Hyeji was a sweet young adult, beautiful, and kind. And he did not see all these features in her then. What then changed? He wants to believe letting her into his company premise is not a mistake, but that was the only way out.

Should Chanyeol decides to ignore Hyeji, she will create more havoc than she already has. Imagine her calling him names and spitting rubbish in front of everyone just to make people believe and pity her. Whereas, she is the devil herself. And the world is not a place to believe a story like this from the man's perspective, most especially when the calling out is from the woman herself at first. They tend to believe that 99% of the women calling their men out are saints, and were all mistreated by the men. And no one wants to hear the side story of the men involved. No one wants to know the truth behind a rumor before condemning the accused. The majority of the world will favor women and believe the men are always the wicked ones who mistreat their women, forgetting that not all cases are like that and it can also be the reverse.

Chanyeol is not ready for the press roaming around his company, and home trying to get unnecessary information from him, all because Hyeji is being overdramatic. Because, where was the world when Hyeji dumped a two months baby in front of his window and took off with her lover? Where?
