Chapter Twenty Two: Hers To Run

“Hi Rohan”, I said quietly. “It’s been eight months true love I thought you’d long forgotten about me”, Rohan said on the other line you could basically l hear the smirk in his voice. “I don’t break promises”, I said.

“It’s good to hear from you anyway but this must be important telling from the aching you’re trying so hard to hide from your voice”, he said and I cursed the Goddess for either making him too attentive or me to obvious.

“It’s… Remember that last promise I made, I think it’s time I fulfil it”, I said knowing he’d remember without doubt and follow through on his end. “Okay where are you now”, he said and I sent a silent thank you to the goddess. “The unmarked territory outside Red Eclipse”, I told him. “Stay put I’ll be there soon”, he said and hung up.

I waited for Rohan for a little bit over an hour and I was starting to doze off when I heard someone knocking on Maddie’s window only to be met with a ginning Rohan. I ran out quickly and hugged him. “Well I missed you too Blair thank goddess we can finally say that freely being called Murdrogue got old real quick”, he said and I chuckled pulled away from him.

“Mind telling me what’s wrong”, Rohan asked. “Not now, now I just want to forget”, I said. “You’re mates the pretty alpha boy you always talked about, isn’t he?” Rohan said and I just gawked well he hit the nail right on. It’s like he just knows things. “I said I didn’t want to talk about it”, I said.

“Okay so can we go now”, Rohan said a certain rush in his voice that caught my attention. “Why the hurry found your real mate, yet”, I mused. “Nope she’s still hiding its just stuff with my sister, she wants me to take over as alpha”, he said and I was back to gawking. “Woah Rohan that’s huge”, I said. “I know let’s get going we’ll talk more on the way to Gustily”, Rohan said.

“I’m assuming it was feasts, hunts and applause when you got back home”, I cheered. “Yah made those years’ worth it”, he said. “Oh”, I said. Now I feel bad. Freaking Chrisshiano. Fricking Pack. Fucking Rogues, my five ears just went down the drain.

“My adoptive parents apparently died during one of the rogue attacks so my sister had to became Alpha earlier than excepted now with all the drama going on with her mate she wants me to become Alpha so she can leave but I’m not ready for that power, I wasn’t even born to be nothing but a rogue much less an alpha heir”, Rohan said.

“I’m sorry”, I said expressing my sincerity condolences for his parents, they treated him like their own and he loved them. “Enough standing and talking let’s go”, Rohan said pulling me out of my thoughts and giving him the keys to Maddie knowing he’d want to drive instead. “Okay”, I said entering sitting shot gun.

“Wait by any chance this jeep’s not called Maddie right”, Rohan asked and I shot an eyebrow at this. The one thing that was always on my mind but I never talked about was Maddie my baby so his I know everything act was just hitting it too hard.

“Uhm actually it is how do you know that”, I said. “I remember that time I disappeared for a little over a day during the wars and came back to find you’d gotten yourself into trouble with the Gratison crew”, he said reminding me of that uneventful day that I got the crap beaten out of me but luckily Rohan came before they could do permanent damage. “Urgh don’t remind of that”, I groaned and he chuckled.
