Chapter Forty Two: Hers To Burn
I love Chrisshiano Mars. It's a truth I don't want to deny anymore. Love's not meant to be perfect. We're not meant to be perfect.
I in my heart, burned for Mars in a way I knew I could never for Rohan and it tore me apart.
Rohan Kinslen is perfect but his not mine. I wasn't made for me but I couldn't stand to lose him either.
"Rohan", I called my voice a light whisper close to tears as I step forward to him. He threw his arms around me and pulled me into his chest as he stroked through my hair his hold grew tighter, "You don't have to say anything love"
I wanted him to lash out, be angry but this was the same Rohan who was always there for me even if I couldn't be for him and it broke my heart to shreds, "I don't want to lose you", I sob clutching onto him tighter.
"You could never lose me little wolf", he says pulling away and cupping both my cheeks before placing a bitter sweet kiss on my forehead. I tried smiling at him, through the tears.
Tears he wiped away before saying, "All I've ever wanted is for you to be happy and I'll learn to be okay that it's with him"
"You're still mine to care for", he reassures and just like that all the promises we made come crushing back to me. Especially the first one, "If we make it out of here alive promise you'll always remember me"
And we did, we survived fates twisted games and we'll do it again. Even though marking Mars means his doubtlessly going to leave.
"I will never forget you, I promise", I sniffle.
"I won't let you", he smiles before pulling away from me completely, leaving me to hug myself as the crisp midnight air chilled through my bones, "See you around true love"
And with that he shifted into his fiery red wolf and I was hit with a sense of déjà vu from when we left the rogue lands. Beast nodded to me before he took of racing into the dark in which he disappeared.
"Find your way back to me, Rohan Kinslen", I selfishly wished, maybe not as a lover but as a friend.
Warm arms wrapped around me and I turned into Mars' chest, quietly he just held me.
"I'm sorry I left you in there", I apologize. Mars simply shushes me and tells me everything will be okay.
"Let's go home", he says and I nod. With me leaning into his body for warmth and comfort we walk back home.
No words were said.
No words needed to be said.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy loviiieeees, I've got exciting news.
So if my pc battery(34% cry), power and sleep allow me, I'll have Hers To Claim complete within the next five hours!!! Ieeek, I wish I could say I'm on a boat load of caffine right now but sadly that's not the case.
