The Missing Weasley

Arrival

At the castle that held the students of Hogwarts  it was quiet yet busy, so many staff members trying to get all the kids to stay inside which was easy when the dementors were on the prowl.

"Now I know that this has never happened but there is always room for change" Dumbledore was giving his a speech at the start of dinner which was strange to most because they had thought everything was fine.

That's when the rumours spread.

"He must be dying" "someone has died" "I bet it's a new teacher"

Some stranger than others. The only trio that knew what he was announcing was Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger.

"I would like to introduce Alora Weasley" The doors of the Great Hall opened to reveal a curly red headed girl who held authority and elegance in the way she walked down the short yet long walk to the front of the Great Hall where the Sorting Hat would be waiting for her.

Alora could feel eyes on her and she could hear their whispers which were driving her mad but she blocked it out, everything needed to be fine. It had to be.

"Now ms Weasley would you like to make your way to sit down" Professor McGonagal guided the girl to the stool.

"Ah another Weasley, I swear I thought we were done with you lot. Now let's see your not a first year so it's going to be slightly easier since you've got interests and ooh growing up as a Willow, well that explains your cunning side and the lies that were bound into your life" the sorting hat drawled on

"Let's see you would do great in Slytherin yes it's all in your head, Ravenclaw the house of wisdom and wit would also be a good fit, now what's that Gryffindor? Ah! I see you have backbone also stubbornness and bravery trying to use your mind games to get into Gryffindor, see Ravenclaw would do you wonders."

"I'd really would appreciate not being in Ravenclaw, yes they are smart and witty but if you've noticed I'm not self absorbed" Alora muttered not wanting to insult the house her adoptive Mother had been in but even she had thought of herself as better than everyone else.

"Right now let's see, I know.....GRYFFINDOR!" The musty and ashy hat bellowed, you quietly thanked the hat and walked down to the cheering table.

"Hey sis" the twins beamed
"Hello twinsies" she laughed as they ruffles up her hair

"Alora look these are my friends Harry and Hermione" Ron pointed out almost bouncing in his seat

"I've already met Harry... oh and this must be the brains of the operation" she shook Hermione's hand and introduced herself

"Well if I wasn't they would be dead or probably worse...expelled" Hermione laughed

"I'm surprised they haven't already I've heard about the car incident" Alora grabbed a goblet and filled it with pumpkin juice

"Yes those fools" she side eyed the two boys who were looking around innocently

The girls laughed and learned about one another until Ron broke into their conversation

"You said you already knew Harry, How?" Ron picked up another chicken wing

"Well I met him at the ball but I didn't see Hermione there" she shrugged taking a sip of her pumpkin juice

"Oh yes I apologise for that I had to study, you know O.W.L.S are in two years" she gushed

"Yeah two years that's plenty of time mione" she snickered at the girl

"Have you heard about Sirius Black escaping Azkaban" Ron whispered not in the slightest bit discreetly

"Yes I ran into him on the way here quite a friendly man if I do say so myself" she smiled at her twin

"Wait really?!" Harry said now interested in the conversation

"No I mean I have heard of him and to be honest in my opinion is doesn't add up but that's the ministry for you" Alora took a bite of her pie and turned to Hermione

"Hey I think we share a dorm can you help me unpack" Alora asked

"Sure why not I want to go back early anyways I have homework to do" she grabbed her bag "you two coming"

"Nah who wants to do potions homework" Ron shrugged

"Well it's not potions actually Ron it's transfiguration" Harry chucked

"Well then why include a potion in the subject" Ron grumbled eyeballing the food in front of him

"It's a poly juice potion Ron she literally wanted us to write about it and what is does" Hermione informed

Ron just mumbled something out of earshot whilst Hermione shook her head and sat up

"We will meet you guys back in the common room oh and by the way the stairs like to stretch" Harry took a sip of his drink

"Alright thanks I surprised Hermione didn't mention it she was talking about the school and it's history and how the ceiling is enchanted. Like way to ruin my dreams" Alora shook her head chuckling

"See you later scar" she smiled before walking out to a impatient Hermione

Harry Potter was left stunned, Ron had said she kept to herself a lot maybe she just doesn't like him he thought.

That was the least of his worries I mean who would of thought that Sirius Black would sneak into the castle......again

What do you guys rather shorter chapters that take less time or longer ones that may take longer due to school.

I'm on Christmas break and I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas if you celebrate it.

I hope this chapter was alright I might have to redo it but it's fine for now but if you want to suggest things I will definitely take them into account.

Also Alora is a Gryffindor!!!! Most people said Gryffindor and I'm all for pleasing the viewers so I hope you like it.
