Russia's pov
☆°•☆•°☆I held my new mate in my arms. I don't know why he got so frightened when I smirked at him. America radiates heat. I wish this didn't have to end. That we could just stay in our little bubble until the end of time, but life gets in the way. I hope Finland didn't tell anyone about this.
I could tell by America's breathing, which became deeper and even, that he was sound asleep. I sighed. I have to get out of bed to tend to my duties as leader of the pack.
I carefully removed my arms from the smaller male and walked quietly out the door.
I walked near the clearing and the forest began. There was a large nest in the strong branches of an old oak tree.
I emptied the small bag filled with elk meat on the ground. In response, a large-sized, dark bird emerged from its stick-made home.
It perched itself on the thick branch before jumping off and spreading its majestic wings and gliding down to the ground to pick at the discarded meat.I smiled at the intimidating raven before me.
Countries like myself have the same relationship with ravens as how wolfs do. They tell us where the prey is, and we kill it and they get the scraps. But. Our ravens, my raven, also warns us if danger lurks nearby. Some packs don't have ravens because they don't trust the bird For example, they would think the raven would be warning them of danger if a ladybug got too close to them or something like that. But, Pine once saved my sister's life.
Not by fighting off a bear. Pine has his limits. He is a weak bird. One day, when Belarus was only 7, she went out of the camp and into the forest all by herself to prove that she was a big girl and she didn't need to be watched all of the time. On her adventure, a black bear discovered that children could make easy prey. She knew about the "brown lay down, black fight back and white goodnight/goodbye" but it's hard to fight back when the beast is 2x the size of you. Luckily Pine was flying over and spotted the bear stalking my younger sister and I was able to get there before the bear caught her.
Bela still is persistent in repaying me for saving her life all of those years ago, but being the greatest brother ever comes free.I looked down at the bird. He was already done with his meal within minutes. That bird sure does remind me of my sister sometimes.
Pine cawed at me before returning to his lonesome home that was held up by an ancient oak, which leaves brushed the light pink clouds that swam in the orange and red sunset. The cool breeze lifted my hair as I inhaled the scent of the forest air and soaked in my peaceful surroundings.
This made me feel almost weightless. I was at peace listening to the long grass wave in the breeze and the leaves rustling in the trees.
I looked at the sky once again, before deciding to walk back to the camp to collect dinner. I made sure to have France make some croissants for my Stars. I know he loves those things._______
