"Are you sure you dropped it around here?" I asked Scott in annoyance.

After the lacrosse practice we came back to the woods where Scott and Stiles were last night. Apparently sometime during the events of finding the body and Scott getting bit, he dropped his inhaler. So, here we are. Scott bribed me into coming, saying he would do my chores around the house for the next week if I helped.

"Yeah, I swear it was right around here," He insisted analyzing the ground around us.

I walked around desperately looking for this inhaler seeing as how it was starting to get colder and I didn't bring a jacket. Also due to the fact that in these very woods last night a dead body was found, but the killer wasn't.

"Did Stiles dad say anything else about the body found last night?" I questioned. "Like if they know what happened or who did it?"

Scott shook his head, "Not yet, but that's what Stiles is trying to figure out now."

We continued walking and searching but there was still nothing.

"Oh," I said remembering that I had to interrogate and annoy my brother about Allison. Scott turned to me hopeful that I had found it. "I met your little girlfriend, Allison. She came to your practice," I said nudging him on the shoulder.

"Woah she's not my girlfriend.....but yeah I saw," He said blushing a little. "Not yet, but she will be. She likes you, she even gushed about how you were a hero and saved her day by giving her a pen," I exaggerated laughing and he laughed too.

"How did you know she needed one anyways?" I asked curiously remembering what Allison had said. Scott remained silent almost as if he were trying to find a way to explain.

"Uh, just a wild guess."

It got awkward and I could tell something about the question made him act a little weird.

"Maybe it's over there somewhere, I'll go look," I said wanting to leave this now awkward conversation.

"Okay, don't go far," Scott said as I began to walk away.

A little time had passed, and as I continued walking, I realized I was far away from Scott. I had been staring down at the ground trying to find the damn inhaler, that I didn't realize he wasn't within shouting distance anymore.

I looked up and turned in a circle, realizing I was definitely lost. I squinted my eyes to see a house up ahead. I started walking in the direction to realize it was only the remains of a house. It seemed there had been a house fire, and from the looks of it, the fire happened years ago. .

I cautiously walked closer out of curiosity by this house that I knew nothing of.

As I approached the porch, I looked behind me seeing no sight of anyone, and still no Scott.

I walked up the steps making them creak, and me question if I was going to make this house collapse.

I peeked through the busted out windows and saw nothing inside the house except for what I saw on the outside. Black ash, burnt floorboards and walls. There were however, some pieces of furniture that remained in tact but appeared dusty and old.

I went to reach for the doorknob, when a bigger hand grabbed my wrist tightly ripping me apart from the door. "This is private property."

I gazed up into the eyes of the man who just spoke, and was speechless. This man had the most beautiful green eyes that I was drawn to. He was definitely a few years older than me, but not by much. He wore all black; jeans, shirt, and leather jacket.

"I-i'm sorry," I managed to get out after I realized I had just been staring at this man in silence. "I was just," I started to say but didn't know what I was doing. "Sorry, I was just leaving," I pulled my arm out of his grip and rushed off the porch that I had been standing on.

"Wait," He shouted making me stop and turn. He walked off the porch and up to me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you off," He said with a charming smile. I smiled back and shook my head, "No worries, you didn't scare me."

He definitely scared me, but I'm not gonna admit that to this insanely hot guy.

He stared deep into my eyes and laughed, "I can tell you are lying."

My heart skipped a beat as I was insanely intimated by this gorgeous man, and he looked as though he knew it too.

"I'm Derek, Derek Hale." the man said smirking knowing he made me nervous.

"Mia, Mia McCall."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out Scott's inhaler. "I assume you were out here looking for this?" He then handed it to me and I accepted gratefully.

"Yeah thanks, it's my brothers he.." I stopped myself thinking about him and the dead body that was out here.

I gotta get out of here, for all I know this man could be the killer. I said to myself analyzing Dereks mysterious persona. He definitely looks like a stereotypical killer.

"Um, thank you again, but I gotta go," I said nervously and he nodded.

"I'll see you around," He smirked and I smiled back, then turning to find Scott.

As I walked away, I felt like I was still being watched by him. Quickly I turned back around and he was gone. No sight of him.

He must've gone inside the house already........even though it's a completely burnt down house that's unlivable.....
