"Shut up already, and pass it over," Emily said as Nathan passed her the blunt.

I laughed as I got into the driver's seat. "Mia you promise you're good to drive?" Nathan slurred out as he slumped down in the back seat next to Emily.

"Of course I'm good, I barely drank anything and my last drink was hours ago. I'm good," I stated.

"Watch, I'll prove it," I said as I reached for my seatbelt buckling myself in. I flipped my hair proud of myself.

"Wow, you're such a great driver," Matt exaggerated from the passenger seat making us all laugh.

I turned the keys, starting the car, and began driving. "Ugh turn up the music, I love this song!" Emily yelled from the back.

I turned the dial for the music as OMG by usher started blasting throughout the car.

"Yesss!" Emily yelled from the back making me laugh. I continued driving and singing while slowly pushing the pedal to the floor.

"Oh, oh, oh, oh," Emily yelled from the back.

"OH MY GOD!" Matt yelled.

I immediately shot up from my bed screaming, waking myself up from that horrible dream. I couldn't stop screaming from fear knowing that it wasn't just a dream. It really happened. I crashed the car.

Scott and my mom came running into my room turning all of the lights on. Both of them panicked running to my side. Scott immediately hugged me calming me down while she sat on the edge of my bed.

"Hey, shh, you're okay. It was just a dream, you're okay," He reassured me while holding my head kissing it. I stopped screaming and slowly tried to catch my breath.

After a few moments of silence, I was able to calm down. I looked up at the two feeling terrible for waking them up, seeing as how this wasn't the first time it had happened this week.

"I'm so sorry."

My mom smiled, "Don't apologize, I'm just glad you're okay." I smiled a little back, but not fully.

"You need to stop watching all of those horror movies, that's probably what's causing you to have these dreams," She joked while placing a hand on mine. I gave a slight laugh but we all knew that wasn't it.

After this accident, luckily no one pressed charges. Nathan and Emily's parents weren't really in the picture, whereas Matt had none and was raised by his grandmother. They were a group that most people saw as lowlifes and drug addicts, but to me, they were my friends.

Mainly charges weren't pressed not only because of their family situations, but because of mine. Specifically, my dad. He made himself detective of the case as it went under investigation, and in doing so he pretty much made the case go away. I wish he didn't. I should have had to pay for the mistakes I made that night.

We all know my dad only did this to try and win my mom and I over anyways. Try to get back in.

"Now that I know you're okay. I'm going back to bed," my mom stated breaking me from my thoughts. "Goodnight you two," She gave me a reassuring smile and proceeded to walk out of the room.

Scott turned to me, "You sure you're okay?"

I turned to him and slowly nodded, "I just can't stop reliving it over and over again."

"It was an accident Mia, and I know they were your friends but you can't beat yourself up over it forever," he said holding my hand. "It was a stupid teenage mistake, you're human."
