"I can't believe Stiles is letting me drive his jeep," I said as I drove Derek and I to Beacon Hills long-term care facility. This is where Derek's uncle stays, and coincidentally where the text was sent from.
I parked right outside in front of the sign. "You have to go in," Derek said making me turn to him. "What?"
"I can't be seen here. I'm a criminal you have to go in."
"Ugh, I did not sign up for this."
"I'll be listening to you the whole time from out here to make sure you're okay," Derek reassured me.
"Fine. You owe me though," I said about to get out of the driver's seat when Derek grabbed my hand pulling me closer to him. He kissed me passionately before releasing me. "I think you're gonna owe me a lot more than that," I said biting my lip before looking him up and down.
"Really? You want to?" he asked seriously making me nod. "Yeah..I do," I smiled.
"So hold that thought," I said getting out of the car and slamming the door behind me.
I started walking into the building and saw no one was in there. No one was at the front desk or anything. "Hello?" I said looking around but no one answered.
I started walking the halls to try and find someone, but there was no one. You couldn't hear a thing except for my shoes on the floor.
I reached into my pocket and called Derek. He immediately picked up, "What's wrong?"
"I don't see anyone in here," I said as I continued looking in room after room.
"There's should be a woman named Jennifer. She's been looking after my uncle," Derek explained. "Uh, what room is he in?" I said peeping into every room I passed.
"One of the last rooms on the left," Derek said as I walked to the room. "Welp, I'm just gonna," I said as I snatched the patient file from the clear plastic holder beside the door. I read the patient name.
Peter Hale.
"I found his room," I said on the phone. I went to walk in but saw no one was in it. The bed was perfectly made and looked like no one had been here in days.
"Uhh."
"What? What's wrong?" Derek asked. "He's not here either," I said. "What?!" Derek asked with disbelief in his voice.
"He's not here Derek. The bed looks like it hasn't been touched in days," I said.
The line was silent for a few moments and I started to back out of the room immediately gaining an uncomfortable feeling.
"Mia! Get out of there right now! It's him, he's the alpha!" Derek yelled over the phone.
I quickly turned to leave but was met face to face with a man. Half of his face was scarred while the other half remained perfectly untouched. He wore a suit and stood with elegance as if the scars on his face meant nothing to him.
"You must be Amelia," He said with a calm voice.
Not knowing what to do, I slowly started to back away. I started to turn to run but was met with a woman who appeared to be a nurse.
"What are you doing here? Visiting hours are over," She said with an evil tone in her voice. "Oh now you wanna show up," I said glaring at the nurse.
I turned back to Peter, or the Alpha, and saw he was still staring at me. "So you're, and she," I said turning back to the nurse putting all the dots together realizing that his nurse is how he was able to keep his identity a secret.
