Once I got home, I quickly showered hoping to shower the scent of Derek off me. Based off my very slim knowledge of the supernatural that I've learned over the years from movies , I assumed there could be the possibility of scent lingering. Either way, I'm not taking any chances. If Scott found out I broke his promise to stay away from Derek, it wouldn't go over well.

I waited for Scott, knowing he'd be looking for me since I ditched school. I also was waiting because I wanted him to tell me himself. The truth.

"Mia! Are you here?" I heard Scott yell as footsteps came running up the steps. I turned when my bedroom door burst open.

"Oh, thank god," He said sitting on my bed. "I was worried. I didn't see you all day and your teachers said you skipped classes. Are you okay?" He questioned while making himself comfortable in my room by taking his bag and jacket off before plopping on the bed next to me.

"Yeah, I just didn't feel too good, so I came home," I lied. He looked me up and down skeptically. "Oh, is there anything I can do?" he asked and I smiled.

"How about the truth? About everything going on?" I asked.

I hadn't even been able to begin processing the information Derek gave me. I knew one thing though, I wanted to hear it from my brother and be able to talk to my brother about it.

"Mia," He said putting a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry about this morning. I should've told you before, all these secrets and lies, but I'm ready now."

"I would say I'm sorry for prying, but I'm not. I love you and care about you, Scott. Something's been off. I wanna be here for you, the same way you've been there for me our whole life."

"Okay uh," he said with a sigh not sure how to spit it out. "Remember the night Stiles and I went looking for the other half of that dead body?" He asked me and I nodded.

"And you remember how I was bit by something?" He asked and I nodded. "Well, it did something to me, something that might scare you...." he said trailing off as I pretended to act a little scared. Honestly, I could be scared and my body just is in shock. Somehow, I just didn't feel scared by this.

Scott then grabbed my hands, "but I promise you now. I'll never hurt you, I'm always going to protect you."

"I know that, I'm always going to protect you too," I said smiling and squeezing his hands. He glanced down for a split second, and when he looked back up his eyes changed from his usual brown eyes to golden yellow ones.

Why are his yellow and Derek's are blue?

I analyzed his eyes in confusion, trying to think of why his are different. "You're not scared?" He asked and I shook my head. "How about now?" He asked before letting his face shift before me, just as Derek's did at his house.

Scott's forehead furrowed, his ears grew pointy, his teeth became sharp fangs, and hair grew on his face. He looked just as scary as Derek, yet I still wasn't scared. I just felt this curious feeling all over again. I wanted to know more about werewolves.

"You're still not scared?" Scott asked again. "I can hear your heartbeat, and it only blipped once, you're really not scared?"

Wait, they can hear my heartbeat?

"What do you mean you can hear my heartbeat?" I asked confused and intrigued.

"I have these powers Mia....I can smell things from miles away, I can hear things I shouldn't be able to hear, I react faster, all these things are what I've been keeping from you. Mia, I'm a werewolf," Scott spoke finally saying the words. I didn't realize these things did come with being a werewolf, Derek just glazed over that as if I knew.
