It was finally Monday morning, which felt like it would never come after the long weekend of being stuck inside. I had tried calling and texting Derek a million times. Of course, he didn't respond. I'd already seen on the news that his house was barricaded by cops and there was no sight of him there.

I quickly got ready for the day by throwing on some leggings and a sweatshirt. I threw my hair into a messy bun and grabbed my backpack off the floor. I rushed downstairs to see my mom making breakfast, which was unusual.

"Morning," I said as I approached her and she smiled. "Morning to you too. Hey, any idea if your brother is up? I have a feeling that after everything he's been through he might not want to go today," she said as she fixed me a plate of bacon and eggs. I shook my head, "I didn't hear him getting ready this morning."

"Maybe I'll just go check on him," she said handing me the plate then began walking upstairs. "Thank you!" I yelled to her for the breakfast. I heard faintly that she had the kitchen radio on, so I leaned over and turned it up as I sat at the bar with my food. "...Beautiful Monday morning. Beacon Hills High School is back open after being closed Thursday and Friday. Police search continues for alleged killer, Derek Hale..." I immediately slammed the radio turning it off.

My breathing got heavy as the worry and fear started to hit me. What if they get him and lock him up for something he didn't do? What if I never see him again?

"Well, your brother is going back to school today. He seems upset about what's her face..." my mother said walking down the steps.

"Allison, and of course he's hurt. I think he got dumped, at least according to Stiles," I explained getting up from my chair and putting on my backpack. Since Scott and I were on a lockdown at the house, Stiles had come over but really just for Scott. Since him and I were on the outs, I decided not to invite myself. However, Stiles being who he is still came to check up on me.

"Ahh," she nodded as she made him a plate just like she did for me. "Are you leaving?" She questioned as she looked up to see I was wearing my backpack and about to walk out the door.

"Uh, yeah. Lydia's picking me up this morning," I said opening the door. Since we're friends again, she decided we should go back to our old tradition we had at the beginning of freshman year, carpooling to school. "Aw honey that's great, I'm glad you two are becoming friends again! Okay well, be safe, have a great day!" She yelled as I gave a little wave and walked out of the house.

The bell rang as class was dismissed, and I walked next to Lydia and Allison down the hall. "How are you guys doing? With everything that happened to you guys?" I questioned concerned about the girls. Lydia and I didn't talk about it on the drive, but I was dying to know if they were okay.

"It's just weird. Everybody is talking about what happened the other night and nobody knows it was us," Allison said consciously looking at everyone around her to make sure they weren't staring. "Thank you for the protection of minors," Lydia spoke looking up while smiling.

"How are you doing though? I mean, it must've been devastating to hear that Derek was the one trying to," Lydia looked around before whispering, "kill us."

I had forgotten for a split second this whole time that people thought he was the cause of everything that went down at the school.

"Why would that be devastating to you?" Allison questioned. I stared blankly at her fearing telling her as Lydia mouthed sorry. "I-uh, we were becoming friends. Just sad to see is all," I quickly summed up making Allison not give it another thought. I didn't want to tell her the truth because who knows who'd she tell. Then I would just be another way for someone to hurt Derek.
