"Mia, where the hell have you been? You haven't answered any of my calls I've been worried," Scott said on the other line of the phone. "I'm sorry, I'm okay. I found out where Derek is and I'm headed there now," I spoke as I turned to Peter who had his eyes on the road.

"Me too, I'm on my way there now I'll meet you," He said and I hung up the phone.

There was a moment of silence before I spoke, "I don't want him to know. Not yet."

Peter turned to me and nodded, "Save Derek first, we have the same priorities. However, Mia, though you're only in transition, I must warn you. They will be able to sense it on you. They may not be smart enough to know exactly what they're sensing yet, but they'll find out." Peter turned and gave me a sincere look.

"I'll drop you off here," He said as we were now in the woods only a little ways away from Derek's house. "I'll make it look like I came separately," He said with a smile.

I nodded my head, beginning to feel guilty while letting the reality of what happened sink in.

I got out of the car and began running towards Derek's house. As I approached the house, I saw a figure walking. "Scott!" I yelled in a whispered hush.

He turned and motioned me over. As I walked over I was immediately pulled into a hug. "God I'm so glad you're safe. Did you even hear about Lydia?" Scott asked. "Let's just find Derek okay?" I said making Scott pull away.

"What's wrong? What happened?" he asked and I shook my head.

He didn't press anymore and simply led me to an opening underground. We moved the rusted gate to the side, and As we walked inside it was pitch black hallway. As we turned a corner there were many lights all around showcasing the disgustingness we were walking in.

We then found a door and opened it, and there he was hung up my handcuffs onto a metal fence. "Derek, oh my god!" I shouted running to him with Scott following. I tried not to examine his shirtless body, but my god it was good to look at.

Scott uncuffed one of his hands when we heard someone coming. "Mia, hide over here," Scott instructed. Scott hid in front of me in the darkness as a man entered the room. He turned on a spotlight that shone directly on Derek.

"Ready to have some more fun?" the man asked and Derek looked up at him glaring. "To be honest, my knuckles are kinda hurting, so I brought some help," he said motioning to the bat in his hands.

The man went to hit Derek with the bat, but Derek caught it in his hand. "I brought a little help too," Derek said weakly. The man turned around to see Scott and I standing there. Scott growled and as the man turned back around, Derek gave him one punch to the jaw sending him out like a light.

After he was knocked out, I ran to Derek ripping everything off of him, such as the wires taped to him, except for the cuffs which I knew I wasn't strong enough to rip off him. "Scott, help me get out of this," Derek instructed and I turned to look at Scott who just stood there. "No, not until you tell me how to stop Peter."

I gulped in fear of bringing him up. "You really wanna talk about this right now?" Derek fumed. "He's going after Allison and her family. He's going to kill them."

"So what?!" Derek yelled. "So tell me how to stop him," Scott instructed again.

"Enough of this, we don't have time to argue," I insisted trying to change the subject. I knew Scott wouldn't release Derek until he got what he wanted, so I took matters into my own hands. I reached for the cuff and braced for the embarrassment of not being able to get it off, but with the littlest amount of effort I was able to break him out with ease.
