"Can I help you?" Deaton asked confused as to why Derek was there. I eyed him suspiciously as he looked filled with rage. I'd never seen him looking this rageful and angry. He glanced at me and looked confused, clearly not knowing I was going to be here.

"Hope so. Want to know about the animal you found with the spiral on its side?"

Deaton stood up straight, "Excuse me?" He then folded his arms together intrigued with what was to come out of Derek's mouth next. "What animal?"

"Three months ago. The deer." Derek paused and without losing eye contact with Deaton, pulled out a piece of paper holding it up, "You remember this?" I analyzed the piece of paper and saw it looked like a police report of an animal that died.

Deaton glanced a the paper, "Oh yes, it's just a deer. And I didn't find it, they called me because they wanted to know if I'd ever seen anything like it."

"What'd you tell them?" Derek asked before Deaton could even take a breath after talking. "I told them no," Deaton said giving a reassuring smile.

Something told me he was lying because Derek started walking up to him slowly. He glanced at me for the first time, then back to Deaton.

"Did you hear that?" Deaton started to back up cautiously as Derek got closer and closer.

"Hear what?"

"The sound of your heartbeat rising," Derek said clenching his jaw.

"Excuse me?" Deaton spoke as he and Derek were now on opposite sides of the table. "It's the sound of you lying," Derek spat and picked him up by the collar of his shirt.

"Derek! What the hell?!" I yelled as he slammed Deaton's head into the side of the table, causing him to blackout.

I rushed to Deaton's side making sure he was okay, other than the bleeding gash on his head. "What is wrong with you Derek?" I asked as I helped Deaton up and sat him down in a chair.

"He's the Alpha, I'm sure of it," Derek said as he came over to me with a roll of tape in his hands.

I glanced at Deaton, him being the Alpha? There's absolutely no way, and I'm sure no proof.

Derek started taping his arms and legs up to the chair. "No, no, no," I pulled Derek away from him. "You are not taping up this poor innocent man, whom you just assaulted, by the way, all because you think he's the Alpha."

"Mia, if he's the Alpha then he's dangerous. This little bit of tape won't hurt him," Derek said slightly pushing me to the side while he began taping up his arms and legs again. "What're you even doing here anyway?" He asked as he was kneeling. "Scott and Stiles got detention, so I was covering for him until he got here," I explained.

"Well, you shouldn't be here. things could get ugly, you should go," Derek instructed not once looking at me. I folded my arms, "I'm good. Plus it already got ugly when you slammed this poor man's head against the table."

He finally looked up at me and glared. "Just go."

"Why? I'm a big girl, I can handle myself," I said challenging him. Derek stood up from the ground and sized me up. He stared deeply into my eyes,

"Oh yeah?" My heart started racing at how close he was to my face. "Yeah," I breathed out. He let his eyes linger down on my body and then back up to my eyes.

His face was now inches from mine and I could feel his breath on my lips. Before I could respond, Deaton started to stir awake causing Derek to break our contact.

His attitude immediately changed, "Seriously Mia, don't make me ask again." He gave me pleading eyes and I knew this time he wasn't messing around, he was actually worried for me.

"Fine," I sighed gathering my things. "But for the record, you wouldn't be asking 'again' because you never 'asked' the first time, you more demanded," I suggested making him roll his eyes. I made my way to the door before turning to him, "Derek, don't hurt him again."

I then walked outside of the clinic and grabbed my phone about to call Scott, but as if on cue I saw Scott getting out of the car.

"Scott, thank god you're here!" I exclaimed rushing up to his side. "Was it really that bad?" Scott asked with a laugh and I remained dead serious. "Worse, Derek came here accusing Deaton of being the Alpha. He knocked Deaton out," I explained making Scott outraged.

"What?!" Scott yelled pushing past me to run inside.

Despite Dereks words, I followed Scott.

As we entered back into the room, we saw Derek holding up the chair Deaton was sitting in. "What are you doing?!" Scott yelled before entering the room. "Scott, get out of here!" Deaton yelled hearing Scott.

Derek looked to the two of us and placed the chair down before punching Deaton in the face. "Stop!" Scott and I yelled.

"Look, when he's conscious he can keep himself from healing. But unconscious he can't."

"Are you out of your mind? What're you talking about?" Scott yelled back.

"You wanna know what the spiral means Scott? It's our sign for a vendetta. For revenge. It means he won't stop killing until he's satisfied."

Derek huffed and looked at me, "I told you to leave."

"Yeah, and I told you not to hurt him again!" I yelled angrily crossing my arms. My yell made the room go silent and Derek grew a look of guilt on his face

"So you really think he's the Alpha?" Scott asked breaking the silence while making us all look back to Deaton. "We're about the find out," Derek said raising his arm, but Scott grabbed his arm stopping him.

Scott's claws were out and his face had completely formed. He glared up at Derek making him take a step back and making me smile.

Scott gave a low growl, "Hit him again, and then you'll see me get angry." Scott then returned to his normal form making Derek give in. He paced the room as Scott got the first aid box and started tending to Deaton's wound.

"Do you have a plan?" Derek asked as Scott now had dominance over this situation. "Just...give me an hour," Scott stated as he continued treating Deaton's wounds.
