Dean: I'm here.
I couldn't help the smile that came to my lips. I automatically looked around even though I was alone in my office. Tonight we were celebrating our one year anniversary. We couldn't celebrate in public of course, but Liz and Sarah were going on a trip together this weekend so I would have the house all to myself. Well, me and Dean. I had a bottle of wine waiting for us at home. I had prepared for dinner to be delivered. From a nice restaurant that had a take out option, not pizza. And of course on an anniversary one had to be intimate with their partner. Maybe sex before dinner, maybe later when we were getting ready for bed. It didn't really matter when. I was getting better at reading his signs of when he wanted to bottom. Basically, he just started to strip before we even did anything. I supposed he thought that was the way to seduce me. He wasn't wrong.
Me: Come on back.
I began to close all the programs I had open on my computer. He opened the door and stepped inside, closing the door behind him.
"I'm almost through here," I said.
He glanced at my blinds. I had already closed them so he stood near my desk. I shut off my computer and stood. I knew I shouldn't kiss him in my office, but the more I did it, the more I believed we weren't going to get caught. What was one little quick kiss anyway.
I stood in front of him. He started to turn to the door, but I grabbed his shirt and pulled him to me in a kiss. He tried to keep it a brief kiss, but I put my back against the wall and kept the kiss going. All of my employees would knock before they came in anyway.
"Tio." The door opened.
We pulled away from each other, but from the horrified way Felipe looked from Dean to me, it wasn't fast enough. He rushed out of the room. Luckily it had just been him. There was no sign of my brother. Except, maybe he would tell my brother. Maybe he would tell my entire family. I stared at Dean in shock not knowing what to do. My brother and nephew usually didn't knock. I just hadn't expected either of them to come in this late in the day.
"Go after him," Dean said.
I could suddenly move again. I didn't say anything to Dean as I rushed out the door to follow my nephew. I caught sight of him just as he rushed out the front door. A few of my employees looked at me strangely as I practically ran after Felipe, but no one said anything.
"Felipe," I called after him as he reached his car. He opened the car door. I sprinted across the parking lot and quickly got into the passenger side of his car as he turned on the ignition.
"Felipe, we need to talk," I said.
"Talk?" he asked befuddled. "What's there to talk about? You're cheating on tia. Get out of the car."
"It's not what it looks like," I quickly said.
"I saw you kissing him. How can it not be what it looks like?" He was clearly upset and confused and hurt.
"I'll explain everything," I said. "Please, just give me a chance to explain."
He bit his bottom lip and looked out the driver's side window.
"Please," I said when he didn't respond right away. "Let's go get a coffee and I'll explain. I've never let you down yet, have I?"
His eyes turned me. "This is a pretty big let down, tio."
"Okay," I acknowledged, "but please let me explain."
He shook his head. "I don't know how you can explain cheating on tia, but I'll listen to what you have to say."
