This is in Aaron's voice. And it back tracks a bit to the night before thanksgiving.  Just explaining bc I changed the alternating POV pattern.

I was having a drink with Logan. He was telling stories about some girl, the Yoga sister he'd inevitably gotten a blind date with.

"This chick is awesome, " Logan said. "I mean I loved sex before. But she can bend man. She's got me whipped. We're going to a farmers market this weekend. "

"A farmers market?" I asked.

"She's helping me eat healthier, " Logan shrugged. "And I like her. It doesn't matter what we do, I'm down. She's just cool to be with."

"Hmmmm..." I said.

"So," Logan said. "How's the pretty jailbait girl? "

"I don't know," I said. "I'm giving her space. "

"You know she was right," Logan said. "It's illegal for you and her to, you know, be psychical.  But you could date still. You do love her."

"She needs to date guys her own age."

"Yeah," Logan said. "Because dating high school boys is so wise. She'll wind up pregnant or heart sick and then blame you. Good plan bro."

"Her father is going to kill me," I said. "He was my boss. It's his daughter.  This doesn't look good."

"No," Logan said. "You're a saint. If I had gone through what you did, that girl would be carrying my twins right now. Her dad will respect how you've given her space. "

I nodded.

"Look," Logan said. "Why don't you try a test run?"

"Huh?"

"You're afraid to date her, or tell her dad," Logan said. "Talk to someone in her family who can keep a secret. Gauge the reaction."

"I'm friends with Blake, Beth's sister," I said. "I'm could tell her, I guess."

"The supermodel sister?" Logan asked.

"Dude," I said. "Think of hot yoga girl. I'm not setting you up with Blake."

"Right," Logan said to himself. "I have a bendy,  beautiful girlfriend.  I don't want to mess it up."

"Right, " I said.

"Whatever," Logan said. "You've got a week before you leave. You need to tell Beth you love her and stop pussy footing around the issue."

"She knows how I feel," I said.

"Well," Logan said. "It never hurts to say it twice. "

He went to order another round of beers and I shook my head. I needed to let her go, so I would. It was better that way.

Thanksgiving dinner was awkward for me.

In between conversations with Joel and Bryan,  I found Beth was purposefully ignoring me. She was however,  happily flirting with Jason Jensen. Why was he even here? I didn't know. But after dessert when Blake approached me to chat, I welcomed the distraction.

"Hey," I said, walking up to Blake. "Good to see you."

"You too," Blake said, smiling. "Did you get enough to eat?"

"That pie was pretty epic," I smiled as I replied.

"Can we go for a walk," she asked, a bit skeptical when she spoke. "I want to speak to you about something."
