I sat with my mom in the kitchen and she poured a glass of wine.

"Want some?" Mom asked me.

"No, mom. I don't need alcohol."

"They've been in there for two hours," Mom said.

And she was right. Aaron and my dad spent two hours discussing his relationship with me. What were they saying? Was Aaron still alive?

"I need ice cream," I said. "Lots of it. God, I am stressed."

"Don't be," Mom said. "Your dad is so dramatic sometimes. But I promise, now that's he's punched Aaron, the anger is out of his system. They are probably discussing semantics now."

"Like what?" I asked. "We haven't even been on a first date yet."

"If I had to guess, I would say they are discussing their own relationship," Mom said. "Dad and Aaron have been close this year. They've talked about everything. Obviously now they need some boundaries, to protect both of their personal lives."

"It's all happening now," I said. "You know, I wouldn't be pursuing Aaron, or allowing him to pursue me if I wasn't serious. I really...he's special."

"You love him," Mom giggled.

"Oh please, I'm not Blake."

"That reminds me," mom said. "I'm going to check on your sister."

"How?"

"The paparazzi stalk her," Mom said. "I check the updates to make sure nothing bad has happened. You know, if my daughter is photographed with her boobs hanging out, I should know."

"It's so odd they flock to her, but ignore me. I mean, I am grateful, but it's odd."

"Yeah," mom said. "I feel like you would handle the pressure better. You'd just flip the paparazzi the bird and carry on. Blake gets heartbroken by every headline."

"Well, we can't all be badasses," I smirked.

"Oh God," My mom said, dropping her phone. "Oh shit."

"What?"

"Well, I saw that Blake is trending on twitter right now..."

"So, she and Brady got photographed..."

"I don't know," Mom said. "There was a link to a video..."

"What kind of video?" I asked.

"She and Brady were, well, they were undressing...I stopped it afterwards."

"Why would she make a sex tape?" I asked. "It sounds like something I would do, but Blake? Never."

"I don't know...god, your father is going to have a heart attack."

"Mom," I said. "Stay calm. Call David Darcy, he will know what to do."

"I bet David would never videotape my daughter..."

"Mom, no, call David because he is Blake's publicist. This is a publicity problem. He's probably already handling it."

"Ok," mom said, her voice faint. She looked scared for Blake. I couldn't blame her.

"I will go grab Aaron," I said. "His chat with dad can be postponed. Blake will need a security team to get home."

"Ok," mom said. "I'll call David, you get Aaron and tell your father."

I nodded and walked away. I had no idea what was happening, but I knew I needed to act. For once, I wasn't the problem child.
