"So we have seven hours until your dad's concert," I said to Bethanny.
Luckily she slept until almost ten in the morning, so I had some quiet time. Oddly enough, I found myself missing her constant ranting during my breakfast and morning jog on the hotel treadmill. But still, we'd been in the room for ten minutes and she was already working my nerves.
"But I can't go to a casino?" She asked.
"You're not eighteen."
"I have a fake ID Aaron. "
"A terrible one that barely even got you into that club back in Los Angeles. Vegas hotel security is legendary. So no, no illegal gambling."
"Are you a bodygaurd or a babysitter Aaron?"
"I suppose that all depends on my client's maturity level."
"Whatever," she said. "I don't want to stay here..."
"We could go shopping with your parents," I offered.
"I hate shopping. Mom always makes me look at dresses. I look awful in dresses."
I thought back to the little red dress I'd seen her wearing at the club and almost protested by saying that dress had been gorgeous on her, but I refrained. That kind of comment seemed inappropriate.
"What do you want to do, princess Bethanny? "
"Will you play soccer with me?"
"Hell no."
"Ok...What about the zoo?"
"The zoo..."
"The zoo is my favorite, " Bethanny said. "I've always been a huge science geek. I want to become a biologist someday, or possibly a chemist. But then also on my short list is becoming a veterinarian or a zoologist."
"Well that makes sense..."
"Really," Bethanny said.
"Well, you're super competitive and science is a competitive field. So, you like science and animals?"
"I bet they have a baby giraffe, " she squealed. "Or a baby elephant! "
"You're purely interested in the science," I laughed.
"So can we go to the zoo?" She said with big eyes.
"Yes," I said. "But I'm going to ask for an extra guy from the security team to come with us. He'll follow us from a distance to look out for threats and I'll be by your side as well."
"Fine," she said. "I'm so excited. We're going to see monkeys, and a lion, and the giraffes! I love the animals!"
"Ok," I said. "But promise me if something abnormal happens, you'll listen to me."
"Ok," Bethanny said. "You get to be the boss today, but only if you say please. "
"Will you please listen to me?" I nsorted.
"Yes Aaron," she said. "And I'm buying you a hat."
I just shook my head and agreed.

After walking around with a still healing black eye, an elephant hat, and carrying Bethanny's purple purse, I knew I was lacking in badass points.
