Wow... What a bittersweet moment to put those write those two little words "the end".
It was quite a journey... I just realized now that I started this book inviting the readers to join me in this journey, and Jake used the same expression with Alexa.
I know I do thank you every chapter for reading and showing your support, but I must do it again. Because I mean it. It's so amazing to have your feedback. Every time you were excited, or sad, or surprised. Every time you gave your opinions, pointed out corrections... it was so special to me.
Your reactions motivated me. Your passionate comments gave me joy, and it was so much fun to see your opinions. I had the honor to have some dedicated readers (even the silent ones are deeply appreciated), amazing talented authors that I admire so much were reading this story... It blew my mind (also made me a bit nervous 😊). And I even received some fan art. Thank you @javanrhino06 for the covers. It was amazing to receive them.
I'm posting the last chapter December 29... it really took me the whole year to finish this story.
The idea for chasing stars started with Alexa. The inspiration behind her is not easy to explain. She's kind of a reflection of some real and personal feelings that needed out... Thank you for being gentle with her. Despite that, I eventually feel in love with writing Jake's POV... I don't think I have a favorite character, but Jake is special.
What about you guys? Do you have a favorite character? A favorite part of the story? Something that you would change? Any questions about the characters, the plot, anything... the weather? If I'm still high on antihistamines? Ahahah... really feel free to question, critic, comment, not only here, but my message box is always open for you, and for the future readers (fingers crossed😊).
I hope 2021 brings you all lots of inspiration, many books to read and many blessings in your life,
Love,
Marta.
