The Move

Chapter 10

"Michael, What the hell happened?" I screamed when I saw Sara with a huge gash in her head and coughing out blood.

I looked at the other table and saw Hailey with a bloody nose.

"Oh my god, okay have Hailey lean forward and have someone put a towel on her nose to keep the blood from coming out. Keep them both awake and has Sara been puking, look at her pupils, and check her ears." I screamed running over to Sara and waking her up and checking her eyes and ears.

"Michael what the fuck happened." I screamed still clueless.

"Hailey came in here looking for you and she was snapping on Sara and Sara punched her and Hailey pushed her into the bookshelf and she split her head open." Michael said as he was holding Sara's which I'm guessing he had been since they got her on the table.

"Wheres that fucking ambulance?" I screamed as Hailey threw up and Sara tried going to sleep.

I ran and grab a water bottle one of the students had gotten and gave it to Hailey.

"Drink up." I said.

"Why are you helping me?" Hailey said.

"I may not like you but that doesn't mean I won't help you when you're hurt." I said as the ER people came to get them.

"The one with the head gash is constantly going in and out, she's stable but not for much longer. The other one has a minor nosebleed, swellings gone down and blood loss is at a maximum." I said to one of the workers.

"I don't know how you know all of that but I greatly appreciate it, I'm Max." He said smiling, he gave me a card and said, "Here's my number in case you need it."

Did I attract all the cute guys or something? I mean I'm pretty special but still.

After they left the principal came in and asked us what happened. Michael went with Sara so I guess I'm on my own with this one. Apparently everyone said the same thing because when the principal got to me he said, "You've been here less than two days and you've managed to put two kids in the hospital."

"I wasn't even there when it happened. I went to see a little "friend" so I didn't even see waht happened." I said.

"You've been here less than two weeks and you have a boyfriend?" He questioned.

"No, well I'm dating someone but they don't go here. I went to see Calum who bet on when I would give in to him and he makes me sick, so I caught him making out with like a 10th grader and it was disgusting." I said.

"Mr. Hood bets on everything and hates loosing. Wait, did you say you were skipping class?" He said suspiciously.m

"No. pshh what? Me skipping class. You're crazy... Well, I'm going back to class." I said running out of his office.

I can't wait to go home. I texted Luke and he said he would pick me up in five. I went to go get my stuff from my locker and walked out the front entrance where I saw Luke waiting for me. He kissed me and I asked him if we could go to the hospital to see Sara.

"What the fuck happened today?" Luke questioned.

I explained everything from how Calum and my brother fought to Hailey and Sara. I left out the part where Calum and I kissed out but I did tell him how I cleaned his face. Today was horrible.

When we got to the hospital I gave Luke money to pay for parking and I went to see if I could see Sara. When the nurse told me she was in surgery Luke and I sat outside her room. I saw a familiar face when I looked up and that familiar face saw me.

"Max!" I said as he walked over and hugged me.

"Hey, thanks for that tip earlier. The girl with the gash is going to be alive, thanks to you." He said.

"Thanks, How is she doing now?" I asked.

"Shes good, she should be out of here, next week or so. Look, I have to go. Call me later?" He questioned.

"Okay, I will." I said as I laughed.

I went to sit down but they said Sara would be there for a couple hours.

"Hey Luke, you wanna go walk to the frozen yogurt parlor?" I asked getting up and pulling Luke with me.

"Umm.. Who was that guy and what was he talking about?" He asked a little hurt.

"No... Don't think like that Luke. I don't like him, I like you okay?" I grabbed his hand and kissed him, "I like you." I said smiling.

"I like you too, now lets go get some frozen yogurt." Luke said kissing me back.
