The Move

Chapter 4

I had just gotten home and was taking a shower singing Geronimo by Sheppard. I had just gotten out when I heard my phone ring and went straight to answer it when I saw it was Hannah.

"Tori..?" Hannah said sounding upset.

"Yeah hun? What's wrong?" I said sounding a bit too concerned.

"So I walked into homeroom today a-and," she paused, "Dalton was kissing Amber and I just freaked out. Mrs. Trobidge started yelling at Dalton and Amber and Matt punched Dalton when I ran out of the classroom and he ran after me. I swear I have never been so broken before." Hannah said starting to cry and I'm assuming this was the fifth time today.

"Hannah, what happened after that? What did Matt say to you? I'm so sorry, I wish I could be there for you.it would be different if we were in different neighborhoods but I am a couple states away and I miss you and Ben soo much. My first day at school here sucked. But i made some new friends and then I made an enemy named Calum and it honestly sucks because I just hate it here. I miss you so much." I sighed and I picked out my outfit for tonight which consisted of faded Jean shorts and a flowly tank that had palm trees on it.

"Matt said 'I'm always here for you and we've known each other since first grade. You are iconic Hannah and you deserve the better of life. I mean, you can't be strong without lifting a few weights. But hey, here's to our sweethearts, easy on the sweet, hard on the heart. You're amazing and we would be nothing without you.' And then he held me as I was sitting there. It felt good to cry into someone's arms. I felt safe." Hannah said as she slowly started to realize something, "I'll call you later Tor." She hung up and I looked at the time on my phone. '400' it said in bright white lights.

I decided to go with a Wednesday Addams look as I styled my hair into 2 braids. I put some open toed, brown,  sandals on. My nails matched with a coral color and it brought out my tan skin.

As I got into my car this Tall, blonde, skinny boy with blue eyes was storming out of the house next to mine and as he got into his car he slammed the door shut. He took off when a girl ran outside and threw her phone at his car leaving a small dent. I debated going up to the devastated girl and asking what was wrong but she got all his clothes and threw them outside in a box and she ran back inside and shut the door. Although I had half an hour to get there and I had no idea where this place was I drove past quickly and picked up the boxes and left after that.

After driving around for what seemed like forever I found it, a little out of town, but I have five minute to spare so I got out just as a boy with curly, brownish hair pulled up.

He rolled down his window and said, "So who are you and why are at my band practice?" He had a thick Australian accent and I loved it so much.

"Hi, I'm Tori, Sara and Michael invited me. He said you guys needed help for your set list and judging by how you said 'my band practice' I'm gonna say you're either Luke or Ashton." I said confidently, even though he was cute and very manly, I wasn't gonna let him scare me.

"Oh right, Mikey said he was bringing someone but I thought he meant one of his mates from school," He got out of his car and shook my hand, "I'm Ashton. Ashton Irwin."

There was an awkward silence but once I saw who jumped out I walked over to him and said, "By any chance did you just have a really bad fight with a girl over on Mineral?" I asked the boy curiously.

He looked up at me and his blue eyes were now a bloodshot color and very watery. "Yeah, my girlfriend just broke up with me and she told me that I'm an embarrassment and I shouldn't be living." He said as his eyes started to tear up.

I walked over to him and I hugged him as tight as I could and as I was rubbing his back I said, "It will be okay over time. Everything happens for a reason and honestly, you have every right to be here and I know that if we were friends I wouldn't want you going anywhere. She is so wrong to say that because no one is embarrassed of you. I don't even know you but I would still love to get to know you. You seem like an amazing person and you can't have a rainbow without a little rain. Just remember that something good always comes out of the worst. It's okay to be sad but don't let that get to you because it is not worth it." I said as I meant every word I said.

He pulled away from me and looked at me as he said, "I'm Luke. Would you like to grab a bite to eat after this?" He said smiling.

I laughed and said, "Of course I would Luke, I'm Tori."

He smiled as we walked in together. Ashton was sitting at the drums while Michael and Sara were laughing in the corner. I sat down and ten minutes later the door opened and slammed shut. It was loud enough to make you jump. I turned and said, "Oh god.."

So I sat here and just the thought of Luke crying is so sad. But comments? Questions? Concerns? Let me know, lol live a little. Lol but yeah. That was the update so far (:
