The Move

Chapter 11

"Best. Frozen. Yogurt Ever!" I screamed at Luke.

He took some of his frozen yogurt and went to kiss me but before he did he put some on my nose.

"Remember paybacks a bitch." I laughed sticking my tongue out at Luke.

I got up to get more and when I did Luke was right behind me. When we got to the toppings stand I took the whipped cream and squirted it all over his face and I took off.

"You're done for." Luke laughed as he ran after me.

He got a handful of chocolate sauce and when he caught up to me he spun me around pressed is lips against mine and when he felt like it was time he pulled back and threw the chocolate sauce at my face.

"Nice going Hemmings." I said laughing as I walked up to him.

I gently kissed him and we got into his car to go to my house. My brother liked Luke because he knew Luke was treating me well. They got along though, so it was okay. When we got there my brother was watering the lawn and girls were watching so I'm assuming he was shirtless. When we pulled in to the driveway he smiled at us and a girl walked up to him and asked for his number. He laughed and wrote it down for her. This family, I tell you. Anyways Luke opened the door for me and I thanked him and went into the house.

"My brother is weird about that kind of stuff, it's like he wants those girls to see him like that. Oh well, not my problem." I walked into the kitchen grabbing Doritos and sodas for Luke, Sara, Michael, and I.

"Lets go see them." I said to him as I put the snacks in my backpack.

"I'll call Michael and see if shes out yet." Luke said taking out his phone.

He walked to go make the call and I changed into sweats and my moms Yale sweatshirt. I walked back down stairs and saw Luke sitting on the couch for me. When he saw me he smiled.

"Why are you smiling. Do you see my outfit?" I said suspicious of why he was smiling.

"You're just beautiful, that's all." Luke said blushing and looking down.

I walked over and gave him a kiss.

"Well thank you." I said as I couldn't help myself but smile.

"I've got the snacks you ready to go?" Luke said.

"Hold on." I said as I ran upstairs to get some clothes that Bela threw out this morning.

I came downstairs with a Nirvana shirt and a washcloth.

"Clean up, buddy boy." I said throwing the stuff at him.

"This is my favorite shirt, where did you find it?" He said but immediately knowing the answer.

"Bela." We said in unison.

He quickly got changed and washed his face.

"Are you ready now?" He said laughing.

I took a step back and searched him up and down, "Yep, lets go see Sara and Michael."

He chased me to the car and I told Adam I was going to see Sara. Sara was apparently waiting for us because when I got inside she has a special surprise for me.

"Hey Tori, you know how you kissed Calum and how you're dating Luke?" She said when she said Luke and I walk in together.

I looked at Sara with my mouth open and I couldn't bring myself to say anything. I turned back to Luke and he was hurt, I could tell. It hurt me, seeing him hurt. I reached out to touch me but he swatted my hand away and walked out. I looked at Sara, my eyes watering and all.

"What the fuck Sara," I started crying, "I should have just let you die."

I turn to run after Luke and bump into Michael making him spill the water he had in his hand. He was confused when he turned to see Luke running away and me crying, "Now it's my turn to ask, what the fuck happened?" He said slowly but stern.

I pushed past him and ran after Luke. When I caught up to him he was sitting in his car crying. I opened the door and put my hand on his which he quickly pulled away.

"Look Luke," I started to say but he cut me off.

"No, you look. I get it, he's Calum fucking Hood. He gets everything and everyone. What I don't understand is when you said you liked me, I fucking believed you." He said looking away.

"I do like you Luke, what happened between Calum and I was just an in the moment thing. It didn't mean anything." I said looking down.

"Maybe this doesn't mean anything." He said slowly, choking in between each word.

I can't believe he just said that. My eyes were watering heavily now, I went to reach for the door and as I opened it I said, "I love you."

I ran out of the door and in the hospital. I was lucky because I saw Amanda there.

"Amanda, Can I get a ride home?" I said crying.

"Sure." She said hesitantly.
