The Move

Chapter 6

I woke up at 630 and I was dreading going to school for the same reason I left last night. Calum. I texted Luke when I got up and to my surprise he replied right away.
T- Hey wyd today?
L- I'm assuming something with you.
T- You are assuming right. Wanna grab a bite to eat today?
L- Pick you up in 20.
T- Alright lol

That's just great, I brushed my hair and straightened it fast which took 10 minutes. I grabbed a pair of black jeans, a white baseball tee, and white converse. I just did mascara and eyeliner, I was feeling rebellious today. I quickly looked at the time and I had 2 minutes. I grabbed my backpack and walked out the door. I saw Luke waiting outside and apparently so did Bela.

"What the hell are you doing here Luke?!" Bela screamed.

"Giving my mom's friends daughter a ride to school, her mom texted me asking." Luke stated ever so calmly.

"Hmm, the girl who happens to live right next to me? The girl who just moved here from like Illinois?" Bela said getting calmer.

"Actually it was Wisconsin." I blurted out.

"Whatever, have fun." Bela said sarcastically.

"No promises." I said and I walked over to Luke's car.

"Hey um, I think I'm just gonna go to school right away." I said.

"Let me drive you, we can talk about what just happened." He said.

"Thanks but no thanks, if you're gonna lie about who I am than I would rather not just be a lie." I said walking away

The car door slammed as Luke ran up to me and spun me around.

"Look I'm sorry, I'm not usually like that but I don't want you getting on the wrong side of her. I don't want you getting hurt okay? I was just trying to protect you." He said grabbing my shoulders.

"Do not say you were just trying to protect me. I do not need any protection. I can take care of myself, and as far as getting hurt, I'd rather live than always be together and fixed. The excitement in life is when you live, you have to realize that you will be happy and you will get hurt. You have to take risks, that's the only way life will be alright. I will not be anyone's secret." I said and Luke started walking away but he wasn't going to his car, he was going up to Bela.

They argue for a couple minutes and then he walked back and said, "I told her that I liked you, I told her that I wanted to go on dates with you and I told her that I was taking you out to breakfast and that's why I am here."

I closed my front door and ran up to him and hugged him and when he held me I whispered to him, "So where are we going?"

He laughed as he pulled me to his car and said, "Somewhere you'll never forget."
