A WEEK LATER
AUN POV
"What are you doing, Lily?" Stepping into the shower room, I asked her. I noticed Lily's confusion as she stood in the bathroom, holding two shampoo bottles in her hands. Her gaze shifted from me to the bottles, and she questioned why there were men's products in my bathroom. She pointed to the shower gel and conditioner, both adorned with a man's face on the packaging.
"Um... maybe they belong to JungYun," I stammered, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks. "After all, this was his place, and it wouldn't be surprising if he had left his toiletries here."
"But when I came here last week, I didn't see anything like this," Lily responded, her confusion deepening. I struggled to find the words to explain the situation. Lily didn't know about my relationship with JungYun, or the feelings I had developed for him. To her, we were simply study partners, nothing more.
"Lily, I actually need your help to pack things from the closet," I quickly changed the topic, nudging her out of the bathroom. "Aun, wait, I'm still moving," she protested, but I continued to push her towards the closet.
"Just make sure to grab all my essential clothes," I instructed, turning to leave her alone in the mini closet. But before I took another step, a realization struck me.
"JungYun's clothes..." I muttered to myself, my thoughts momentarily consumed by the presence of his belongings in the room.
"Lily... Lily!" I called out urgently, hoping to divert her attention before she spotted JungYun's clothes. She turned towards me, curiosity evident in her eyes. "Yeah?" she responded, waiting for me to explain.
"Um... can you help me arrange my dresses in the bag? I'll take my clothes out from the closet," I quickly requested, trying to come up with a plausible reason to keep her away from JungYun's belongings. As she looked at me with suspicion, I mustered a smile and gently pushed her towards the bed.
"Here, you can pack them in this bag," I handed her a small travel bag and hurriedly made my way into the closet to retrieve my clothes. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw her open the bag to begin organizing my belongings.
The reason behind my packing was that my stay in JungYun's condominium was coming to an end. My arm and shoulder had completely healed, and I was ready to resume my regular routines, including attending university starting tomorrow.
Although JungYun had insisted that I stay with him, I had stubbornly chosen to move back to my hostel. Our relationship was still unknown to others, and I didn't see any reason to stay with him without a clear purpose. Despite confessing my feelings to him, JungYun hadn't asked me to be his girlfriend, and I couldn't find a compelling enough reason to remain by his side.
After that unexpected behavior from JungYun, I had anticipated that he would distance himself from me, especially since I wanted to take things slow. However, he surprised me by becoming even more affectionate, disregarding whether I was comfortable with it or not.
He started spending nights in my room, cuddling up to me as we slept. He showered me with unexpected hugs and kisses, making sure I felt loved and cared for. He diligently checked my wound and provided me with all the comforts I needed to heal faster. His clingy and warm nature made it impossible for me not to fall even more for him.
"Aun, I finished packing your stuff," Lily informed me, bringing me back to the present.
"Thank you, Lily," I expressed my gratitude as I glanced at the clock on the nightstand. "Aren't you going to the gym? It's already time."
Lily's eyes darted to the clock, and she immediately realized she was running late for her gym class. She had made a resolution to lose weight this year. "Oh God, I completely forgot," she exclaimed, rushing to grab her sandals.
"I thought of staying up until Sunbae arrives, but I've got to go... Bye, Aun!" Lily shouted as she dashed out of the main door. Her hurried departure brought a small chuckle to my lips. Locking the main door behind her, I returned to the bedroom to continue packing the rest of my belongings. After staying here for a month, I had accumulated quite a lot to pack.
Time passed by, and I had finished packing all my belongings. With the clock showing six in the evening, I decided to search for some snacks in the kitchen. Normally, JungYun would leave some food on the top shelf, which I was struggling to reach at the moment.
"God, why does it have to be on the top shelf?" I muttered to myself, extending my arms as far as I could. I was able to touch the wooden rack, but I still couldn't reach the packet of food. Determined, I tried to balance my weight on my toes, reaching even higher. "Just a little more, Aun."
Completely focused on reaching the packet, I forgot about my surroundings. Suddenly, a gasp escaped my lips as I felt an arm circling my waist and another arm reaching out to grab the food on the top shelf. "You should've waited for me, baby," JungYun's voice sounded so close, his lips almost brushing against my ear as he spoke.
His left arm tightened around me, pulling me back against his chest. "JungYun," I whispered his name, feeling a shiver run down my spine as his hand moved to caress my belly.
"You're hungry," he whispered near my ear, sending a jolt through my body and causing my skin to tingle. As he gently caressed my arm, his hand moved up to retrieve the food packet I had reached for.
His grip on my waist loosened, and his other arm held the packet before me. "Take it," he said, but just as my hand came forward to grab it, he used his other arm to push me sideways and pulled me to face him.
He tossed the packet onto the counter and focused his attention solely on me. "You know you should not raise your hands while wearing short clothes, and most importantly, you should not bend or lean on the counter while wearing a short skirt," he stated, his words causing my eyes to widen in surprise and realization.
With each word JungYun spoke, he took a step forward, pushing me back until I was cornered against the counter. His hand moved between my arms, blocking any chance of escape or movement. "Don't repeat this mistake, Aun. If anyone sees you like this, they'll think you're giving them an open invitation to bend you over and fuck you right now."
His voice and words made a lump form in my throat. His dark eyes bore into mine, his hand caressing my waist, and his lips dangerously close to mine, causing my heart to race. "Do you understand?" he asked, waiting for my response.
Stunned by his close proximity, I stood there momentarily blank before nodding my head in response. "Yes," I answered in a small voice, waiting to see what he would do next. However, I was slightly disappointed when he moved away from me. "Enjoy your snacks," he said before disappearing into the bedroom.
I brought my hand up to my chest, feeling my heart pounding rapidly. I tried to calm myself by gently stroking my palm up and down, but each time I thought about what had just happened, my heartbeat only increased.
"Please slow down, I don't want my heart to weaken," I whispered to myself, trying to find solace in other thoughts to soothe my racing heart.
"Papa, I never knew your friend's son would make me feel like this," I muttered to myself, my thoughts still lingering on JungYun. Shaking my head, I shifted my focus to the food packets lying on the counter. Without giving it much thought, I grabbed them and started eating, even though my hunger had long vanished.
