AUN POV

"Thank God, she didn't question me further," I mumbled to myself as I walked through the hallway, making my way to the AI lab. I had been so nervous about getting my allowance pass from Mrs. Beth, considering our previous conversation, but luckily, she didn't ask any more questions and granted me permission to enter the lab.

Navigating through the twists and turns of the building, I finally arrived at my destination. My first thought was to find JungYun and inquire about his conversation with Mrs. Beth. However, knowing how busy he usually is inside the lab, I decided to wait for him in his cabin.

I walked through the rows of cabins, making my way towards the last one. Unlocking the door, I hesitated for a moment as I saw a figure sitting inside, completely engrossed in their work on the laptop screen. Instantly recognizing who it was, I quietly entered the room, careful not to disturb the person.

He seemed so focused on his work that it took him a minute to even blink. Judging by his posture and the intensity with which he was working, it was clear that he was busy and fully dedicated to his task. He hadn't even noticed my presence standing before him.

Fifteen minutes had passed, and I watched as he cracked his nuts, moving his head from side to side before finally shutting the laptop screen. "I already expected you to come late," he said, swiveling his chair to meet my eyes.

Confusion filled me as I stared into his dark orbs, glowing under the white light. His tone and expression were impassive, making it difficult for me to understand what he meant.

"What do you mean? You didn't see or know when I came in," I replied, trying to make sense of his statement. I couldn't comprehend how he would have known about my arrival.

"You unlocked my cabin door 15 minutes ago and came inside without my permission. You know I'm not deaf, right?" he said, raising an eyebrow and tilting his head, his gaze fixed on me. His words made sense, as the sound of the door unlocking would have been audible to anyone inside the room.

"Fine, I was late, but the rea--" I started to explain, but he interrupted me.

"I know Mrs. Beth caught you after your one-month absence, so there's no need to explain," he said, shifting his eyes to the books arranged on the table. JungYun's ability to understand situations and people always surprised me, even though he spoke very little. "How? Were you there when Mrs. Beth caught me, or did you send someone to spy on me?" I asked, bewildered by his knowledge.

He chuckled lightly, tilting his head. "Why do I need to spy when I can predict you with my fingertips? All that spying and eavesdropping is for the vulnerable ones. I'm completely different, baby," he said, standing up from his seat and moving around the room. He stopped behind me, preventing me from turning around, and placed his hands on my shoulders to keep me in place.

I could feel his breath on the back of my ear as he leaned down towards me. The hairs on my neck stood on end, and a shiver ran down my spine. "I have your schedules, Aun. I know that Mrs. Beth's class before lunch tends to run long," he whispered, his silver bracelet making a soft clicking sound.

As his hands massaged my shoulders, I felt a rush of goosebumps on my skin. His warm breath tickled my ear. "Why did you call me here?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. His hands pressed more firmly on my shoulders, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

JungYun didn't respond to my question. Instead, he moved his hands down to my forearm and leaned in closer, nuzzling his face into my neck. "JungYun, you didn't answer me," I pleaded, tilting my neck to try to prevent his lips from touching my skin, but it only gave him more access. "You smell nice."
