Aun POV

The fork in my hand clamped tight with every second passing by. The sharp gaze that I began to maintain hasn't nonetheless lost its coldness or wrath. For the person sitting across or beside my frame, it may seem as though I'm calm and composed, just enjoying the meal. But it's completely opposite to the individual sitting straight to me.

For him, he can certainly see the resentment and hatred I'm throwing towards his sight and yet he seemed to be unbothered by my loathing emotion.

"Our kids know each other since their university days, so it won't be a problem for them to get along." Mr. Jeon Min-Hyuk said while passing the wine to Papa.

He is indirectly implying to have our engagement soon as the discussions moved on to set the date of the engagement. The one human being who happened to notice my sour mood was Mrs. Jeon Dara cause she was seated beside JungYun and to get my bitterness out she flashed her smiley face for every two minutes but nevertheless, my look remained impassive.

" Son, Do you have any objection to setting the engagement date for next month? "

'Next month? When did I agree to marry him?'

Seems like the elders were not interested in my opinion as everyone in the room moved their eyes on the male sitting parallel to me. JungYun seemed to have his answer ready and by the look on his face, I could make out he'd nod his head, approving a yes.

But the thing he said next made me narrow my brows. Just hearing his first seven words, my mind was ready to take action " I don't want the engagement to happen--" Before he could finish his full sentence, I butted in to speak without a second thought. " I agree with him "

The room fell silent, the elders who once had a smile on their face was looking at us with confused eyes and straight lips. They seemed to not get our words.

My eyes roamed at everyone's expression with a small smile, thinking JungYun was in a plan to call off the engagement but my smile soon vanished when I saw him smirking in my direction. " Well, as Aun agreed, I want the engagement to happen next week. "

As soon as those words left his lips, a soft gasp escaped my mouth as my eyes enlarged into moons.

' He just did not use my words against me.'

My muscles tensed in rage, fire blazed across my chest as my nails dug into my palm in anger. Our parents seemed to be pleased with his decision and didn't question further as they looked at us with their beaming smiles. " Seems like our children are one step ahead of us. "

I did not notice others' reactions as my eyes were only glued to the sickening being sitting before my eyes. He seemed to enjoy my abhorrence too much.

Looking at his swaggering face, I turned my head aside to speak a few words to the male seated beside me. " Papa, can I have a short talk with you? " Mr. Jeon Min-Hyuk noticed my sudden interference and nodded his head to my father.

Taking the moment in, I grabbed my father's hand and pulled him out of the private room. " What's wrong sweetheart, what do you want to talk about? " papa asked waiting patiently for me to speak some words.

My eyes moved to the lounge and noticed no one to be present as in I want my conversation to be private. Completely cleared of the coast, I drew in a breath before I could speak anything. " Papa, what is happening inside and when did I agree to marry JungYun. And to top it all, you just fixed my engagement date? "

My hands flew in the air, done with the things that happened inside. " Sweeth--"

"You just called me here to meet the man you arranged not to fix my engagement." I was at my breaking edge, witnessing all the shits happening before my sense didn't let me at ease. Just the thought of seeing JungYun's face made my blood rush through my veins and to more of it, he is going to become my husband whom I've to live, love, and share my life with.
