STADIUM
AUN POV
the stadium music blared in my ears, I followed Jin sunbae towards the back entrance of the stadium, eager to meet up with the boys before the game started. However, I couldn't help but voice my concerns.
"Sunbae, is it really necessary for me to meet the others? It's already time for the game," I questioned, feeling a bit anxious.
Jin sunbae glanced at me and offered a reassuring smile before responding. "We still have 20 minutes, Aun. You don't have to worry, and besides, the boys will be happy to see you before the game."
His soothing words filled me with a sense of calm as he led me through a bustling hallway, where stadium staff and workers hurriedly moved about their tasks.
As we approached the third left hallway, the sound of lively chatter grew louder, emanating from a room about 3 meters away. "We are here, Aun," Jin sunbae announced, stopping before a door with a sign that read 'Boys locker room'.
Without any hesitation, Jin sunbae opened the door without knocking, gesturing for me to enter first. However, before I could even take my first step inside, my eyes widened at the sight that greeted me.
The boys, in various stages of changing and preparation, froze in their tracks as soon as they noticed me standing near the door.
"Oh God, half of them are shirtless," I thought, feeling a mix of surprise and embarrassment wash over me.
Despite my best efforts, my eyes couldn't help but roam around the room, taking in the sight of half the boys shirtless and some even in the process of removing their bottoms. My hormonal imbalance seemed to betray me, making it difficult to look away.
Suddenly, Jae-Min sunbae's voice cut through the awkwardness. "Jin, can't you knock before coming in?" he exclaimed, his face flushed as he struggled to pull his shirt down, revealing his breathtaking muscles underneath.
Both Jae-Min and Jin sunbae noticed my shocked expression and quickly moved to shoo me out, attempting to salvage the situation. However, their efforts were interrupted by another voice behind them.
"Jae-Min, did you see my-" Tae-Sun sunbae started, before his eyes fell on me, bringing his sentence to an abrupt halt. He wasted no time and stepped forward to stand before us. "Aun, glad you came on time," he said, flashing his charming smile.
However, I couldn't bring myself to respond, still flustered by the sight I had just witnessed. Jin sunbae intervened, realizing the need to diffuse the situation. "Tae, put your shirt on before you greet her," he pointed out, noticing my flushed cheeks and the uncomfortable atmosphere in the room. "Aun, it would be better if we talked outside."
Feeling relieved at the suggestion, I nodded in agreement, grateful for the chance to escape the awkwardness of the boys' locker room.
I was guided out of the room, I took a deep breath and felt a sense of contentment standing outside with the two individuals. "The game will begin in 15 minutes, Aun. You can see the boys once they change," Jin informed.
I nodded in agreement and patiently waited for the others as instructed. "You look good in your dress, Aun." I smiled as Jae-Min sunbae complimented my outfit, and thanked him softly for his kind words.
Just then, Jin sunbae pointed behind me, signaling the arrival of the boys one by one. Hoseok stepped forward with a wide grin and greeted me, "Aun, I'm happy you came to cheer us on." I returned his smile and replied, "Yeah"
"I hope we didn't disturb your other commitments by calling you to our game."
"No, you haven't disturbed me. I'm free today and came with a full heart to cheer and see you guys win the game," I reassured them, noticing Yun-Jun sunbae nodding in agreement and smiling at me.
The boys were genuinely appreciative of my presence and expressed their warmth towards me. Nathan sunbae interrupted the conversation, announcing, "Guys, it's time. We should head to the field." Hearing this, I realized the game was about to start in a few minutes. I bid them farewell, "See you there on the bleachers, Aun."
Showing a thumbs up to them, I saw the boys making their way to the field. As everyone exited the room, Jin sunbae instructed a junior team member to show me the way to the bleachers, knowing I was unfamiliar with the layout.
The assigned guy hurriedly led me towards the entrance, and couldn't show me the entire way as he was in a hurry but before leaving, he apologized, "I hope you can find your way from here." He quickly gave me directions, which seemed straightforward with only two turns.
Wishing him good luck for the game, I bowed to him before continuing on my own towards the bleachers. I followed the hallway on my left and spotted a sign pointing towards the "F Gallery." Relieved, I took a breath, grateful that I had found the correct section as the boy had told me.
However, just as I was about to step fully out of the hallway, someone grabbed my wrist, pulling me into a corner. My mind registered the sudden movement, and I saw JungYun standing before me, effectively cornering me against the wall.
He held my wrist firmly, his dark eyes fixed on me, emitting an intimidating aura. But this time, there was something different about him. His brows weren't creased like before. "Did you meet the boys?" he asked.
Hearing his stern tone, I kept my eyes lowered and nodded in response. "Did you wish them luck?" he asked. Again, I nodded, still avoiding eye contact. "Are they happy about your wishes and presence?" Once again, I nodded silently, unable to find the courage to speak up.
Only receiving nods from me, he raised my chin with his hands. "Then why weren't you there to see me, wish me luck, and show your presence?" His voice had a soft yet bold tone, and this time, I decided to speak up.
"You were not with them earlier," I finally mustered the courage to say. But he pretended not to hear me, asking me to repeat myself. I knew he was purposely doing it, wanting me to give him the answer he expected. He turned his ear towards me, waiting for my response.
Knowing exactly what he wanted to hear, I took a deep breath before speaking. "It was my fault for not searching for you... I'm sorry, sunbae."
Satisfied with my responce, he stepped back, his eyes locked onto mine. "Since you're sorry, I'll let it slide," he said, his tone commanding. "But I also want you to wish me luck."
Standing tall, I met his gaze and complied with his demand. "Play the game well, sunbae, and I wish you the best of luck in winning the match. You can count on my support." Keeping my words brief, I waited for his response, but instead of speaking, he leaned in closer to me.
"Thank you for your words, Junior. I'll see you around" Surprised, I felt his lips land on my nose, a gentle peck. Before I could react, he disappeared from my sight, leaving me clutching my sling bag, his words and actions replaying in my mind.
Feeling a mixture of emotions, including fear and confusion, due to JungYun's unpredictable behavior, I couldn't help but question how long I would continue to be caught up in this complicated situation. But as the unanswerable question lingered in my mind, I made a conscious effort to clear my thoughts and focus on the upcoming match.
Heading towards the bleachers, I was interrupted by the sight of a figure, a man with narrowed eyes, observing me intently. His presence gave off a creepy vibe, causing me to quicken my pace and enter the F gallery to find my seat.
Once settled, I observed the players emerging one by one, the crowd roaring with excitement and support. The atmosphere was electric, with people encouraging their respective teams and providing an uplifting energy for the players to perform at their best.
As the match began, I allowed myself to get lost in the fervor of the crowd, cheering on the players and immersing myself in the thrill of the game. Despite the lingering unease caused by JungYun's actions, I reminded myself to focus on the present moment and enjoy the experience unfolding before me.
