AUTHOR POV
Jin and JungYun anxiously waited outside the infirmary, hoping for some news on Aun's condition. When JungYun finally brought Aun to the nurse, she had already lost consciousness, causing them to panic even more.
"You should've let me finish them. Why did you let those fuckers escape?" JungYun's voice trembled with anger. He couldn't understand why he had reacted with such rage, and the thought of Aun suffering because of him made him feel sick.
The boys were on edge, desperate to know Aun's condition. After what felt like an eternity, the nurse called them inside. "Is she awake?" JungYun asked, rushing in ahead of the others, searching for Aun.
"No, she's still unconscious. It would be better if you take her to the hospital," the nurse informed them. Confusion clouded the boys' faces as they looked at each other. "Is there something serious? Why do you want us to take her to the hospital?" Jin questioned, voicing their concerns.
"Her shoulder is swelling, Jin. Here, we don't have doctors to examine her, and based on her injury, I assume she might have a fracture," the nurse explained.
The boys wasted no time in getting Aun to the hospital. Jin, Tae-Sun, and JungYun hurriedly carried Aun, with JungYun cradling her unconscious body in his arms.
Aun's injury was caused by a hard basketball hit to her shoulder. The ball had been weighted more than usual and was shot at her using The Gun, an automated basketball shooting machine. It had been intended for JungYun's head, but Aun had unknowingly stepped in the way, taking the full impact. The members were furious when they discovered that it was a planned attack by their rival team to seek revenge on JungYun.
"Hyung, she's burning up," Tae-Sun said, alarmed, as he felt the heat radiating from Aun's skin while holding her hand.
"We're almost there. Get something cold to cool her down," Jin replied, urging someone to take swift action. JungYun grabbed an ice pack from his bag and gently placed it on Aun's neck, hoping to alleviate some of the heat.
"JungYun, what are you doing? You can't-"
"Shut up," he interrupted, pulling at the lace knot near Aun's chest, exposing her skin up to her upper breast. Tae-Sun's cheeks turned slightly red at the sight, but JungYun remained focused on wiping her hot skin.
JungYun's attention was immediately drawn to some hickeys and bite marks on her chest. Clenching the ice pack tightly, he struggled to control his rising temper. Tae-Sun also noticed the red patches but wisely kept his mouth closed, not wanting to trigger any memories for Jin and JungYun.
"How much longer until we reach the hospital?" JungYun asked Jin impatiently, his irritation growing with each passing moment.
FEW MINUTES LATER
NATIONAL HOSPITAL
After rushing Aun to the emergency ward, the boys anxiously waited for news on her condition. Her skin continued to burn, and she remained unconscious throughout the entire car ride, unaffected by the boys' bickering.
Finally, after approximately 25 minutes, they spotted the doctor emerging from the room. Without a word, they followed him to his cabin, their hearts pounding with worry. "Is she alright, doctor?" Jin asked, his voice filled with concern.
"The patient is stable, but she has suffered an injury to her rotator cuff," the doctor explained. "She may experience difficulty moving her right shoulder and arm for the next few weeks."
Jin's worry deepened as he asked, "How long will it take for her to heal, doctor?"
"It typically takes around 5 to 7 weeks for the ligaments and muscle tendons to fully heal and join together," the doctor replied. "If she remains strong and follows the recommended treatment, she should be able to recover within a month."
