TWO MONTHS LATER

AUTHOR POV

White roses

A bunch of white roses symbolizes purity, faith, and love. It is given to the person whom we love and cherish within our hearts. Aun lips moved up to form a small smile looking at the white rose bouquet in her hand and carrying them to place on the gravestone before.

Her hands touched the marble edge and closed her eyes to feel her father lying under the ground through her conscious sense. She didn't happen to forget the emotions she went through all these days and was still mourning her father's loss after knowing she was the reason why he is buried under.

"Never will I ever forget what I had done to you, Papa" she muttered gathering herself from the ground and adjusting her posture on the wheelchair. She looked at her father's grave once before moving her wheels forward to stop before another gravestone.

Again a smile formed on her lips while she placed the same flowers on the marble flower stand.

'Mama'

Her heart called the name and she fisted her palms, no longer able to control her surging emotions of grief. The reality of the world is before her eyes, the people who brought her to the world, the people whom she needs the most are no longer with her. Her eyes shifted to the two gravestones and for a second her mind went blank to the pages of her life.

When seeing her parents' grave she couldn't think of a conclusion as to where her life would lead and to whom she would rely on in place of an elder. Aun knew her most trusted guardians, her parents were no longer in this world to watch over and navigate her paths of life. One left her when she was six and her father happened to lose his life because of her.

The one person related to her bloodline was her brother and he became worse in handling his crushed heart. She didn't question him nor went to speak some heartwarming words or console him but just left him to be as he was.

As mentioned before Aun couldn't find the courage to stand before him and share his grief, to take care of him as an elder sister should do, instead, she chose to abandon him though he came to look for her for the past two months.

Nicolas heard of how his father died through JungYun and didn't doubt or feel hate for his sister, he just blamed nature as it was his father's fate to leave them. If not for Aun he would have left this world some way or the other. So he didn't take all the details of the accident to his heart. If one has to be blamed then he can blame himself to be the cause of his mother's death but he didn't cause his sister and father, which made him believe that it was his mother's fate by nature, so he wanted Aun to believe the same as him.

Aun once again looked at the gravestones in front of her. The one good thing she had done was to bury her father's grave beside her mother and knew how much her father liked to spend time in the field where her mother's grave was. He brought the land and even built a small house beside the gravestone and the whole area was fenced to avoid any outsiders. The land is on the outskirts of the city, making it their private property.

Her eyes looked up to the small house, the last time she entered was like a decade ago, she usually won't visit here as often as her father did but attends her mother's grave whenever she feels like it. She could vaguely remember her father mentioning the house mostly had her mother's belongings and the gifts or objects the old couple owned during their early years of living and she couldn't bother to look up those things inside the house, hence she decided to spend time near her parent's grave.

With her sight concentrated on the ground, she heard the chirping sound of a bird that flew before her eyes. Aun lifted her head straight and saw not one bird but there was another one sitting on her father's gravestone. She recognized the birds to be country Sparrows and they were turning their heads left and right looking at her.
