⚠ SENSITIVE CONTENT - MENTION OF ABUSE ⚠
AUTHOR POV
"The game will resume after a 20-minute timeout," the announcement echoed through the stadium after the completion of the first round. Despite the closely matched scores, the 'BLAST' team had a slight lead of 2 points over their opponents.
After cheering relentlessly for 45 minutes straight, Aun decided to take a short break to freshen up and recharge herself to continue supporting the team. Grabbing her purse, she made her way through the hallways, searching for a restroom.
Lost in the maze-like corridors, a sense of panic started to creep in as she couldn't find any sign of the facilities. Desperate for assistance, she scanned the empty paths, hoping to come across someone who could guide her.
Just as she was beginning to feel discouraged, a stadium worker crossed her path. Seizing the opportunity, Aun jogged towards him and politely asked for directions to the restrooms. The worker kindly pointed her in the right direction, offering her a sense of relief and gratitude.
Expressing her gratitude with a smile, Aun followed the worker's instructions and set off in the direction he had pointed her towards. Navigating through the corridors, she turned at different junctions until she spotted a sign indicating the location of the ladies' room.
Relieved to have found the restroom, she entered cautiously, only to find herself alone in the empty space. Dismissing any concerns about being alone, she chose a stall and proceeded to take care of her needs, focusing on freshening up and preparing herself to return to the game
As I adjusted my top, I became aware of footsteps entering the restroom. Assuming it was just other girls entering, I continued minding my own business inside the stall. After flushing the toilet, I heard the sound of the door being locked.
Curiosity and uncertainty filled my mind, and I cautiously opened the stall door. To my surprise and growing concern, I found myself face-to-face with two intimidating boys who were blocking my path. Their muscular build and imposing presence made me feel trapped.
"Are you sure this is the girl you saw earlier?" one of them asked, his eyes fixed on me. As I looked past them, I noticed three more guys standing behind, with one positioned near the washroom door. My heart raced as I recognized the person who had given off creepy vibes earlier, the same person I had encountered when I first met JungYun.
"Seems like the boy found himself a good chick, huh?" he sneered, taking a step forward while I instinctively took two steps back. Fear gripped me as I tried to gather my courage. "Who are you guys?" I managed to speak, my voice trembling.
Facing the five boys who were closing in on me, I felt a mix of fear, confusion, and vulnerability. My mind raced, trying to figure out how to handle this unexpected and potentially dangerous situation.
"Can't you see our team shirts?" one of the guys sneered, making me realize that they were members of the opposing team. "In the last game, your boyfriend broke the limbs of our team members. Now, since you seem to be so dear to him, why don't we break him like he did to us?"
Their words caught me off guard, mentioning a boyfriend and the harm he had caused. I couldn't comprehend why they were saying these things to me. As far as I knew, I didn't have a boyfriend who would intentionally hurt others. "I think you've mistaken me. I don't have a boyfriend, and I have no idea what you guys are talking about."
They scoffed at my denial, clearly not believing my words. One of the guys stepped forward, a malicious grin on his face. "Playing innocent, huh? I must say, I like your strategy. But unfortunately, we're not fools to fall for it." He made a move to grab my hand, but I managed to dodge his grasp just in time. Thinking quickly, I grabbed my heels and made a dash to escape from these guys.
