AUTHOR POV

It was a peaceful morning with the sun's heat mellowing down. The streets and roads were relatively quiet compared to the usual hustle and bustle of the other days. After all, it was Sunday, a day of rest and relaxation for most people. However, one girl didn't have the luxury of enjoying a carefree day like the others. She felt like she was going insane, trapped by her strict father's rules.

"Papa, please, I don't want to stay there," she pleaded with her dad, hoping to change his stubborn decision. "I want my daughter to experience the world and meet new people, not just hide behind my back." Her father was known for being strict and principled, always pushing her to be independent and confident.

As a caring father, he wanted his daughter to face the world head-on. When she mentioned being harassed by boys at university, he didn't hesitate to encourage her to stand up for herself and fight for her dignity. He believed that it was important for her to be bold and assertive, ready to face any challenge that came her way.

"I'm doing this for your own good, Aun. It's important for you to learn how to survive and thrive on your own," her father explained, gently caressing her head as she sulked. "I want you to be brave and wise enough to face any circumstances and make your own decisions. While I will always protect and cherish you, there will be times when I won't be there for you, sweetheart."

Aun pushed her father's hand away and created some distance between them, sulking. Her childish act made her father chuckle. "You can't stay mad at your papa, can you?" Despite being a strict and stern man, Mr. Grey Edward always had a soft spot for his daughter.

As a single father, he had raised his children with the love and care of both a mother and a father. He played the role of a father to society and to his kids with utmost dedication. Aun had lost her mother during the birth of her brother, who was currently attending a boarding school in Dallas. She had been just six years old at the time. From then on, her father took full responsibility for raising both of them on his own.

Mr. Grey didn't want his family or society to view him as incapable of raising his children, so he chose to be strict with them.

Aun turned to face her father, saying, "Your 'sweetheart' can also get mad at you, you know." She huffed, looking at her father with determination. "If you want me to be brave and bold, why can't you find other ways to instill those qualities in me? Why do you insist on making me stay in a hostel for a whole four years, when I have my own house and a father to stay with?" Mr Grey sighed as Aun inherited his stubbornness, and it was evident in her words.

However, Mr. Grey remained firm in his decision, explaining, "I want to see my daughter become more extroverted. I want you to learn to organize your own life because I won't always be there for you." It was clear that Aun couldn't sway her father's determination.

Aun found herself torn between wanting to fulfill her father's wishes and wanting to stay by his side. "Can I join the hostel next year instead? I don't want to leave you so soon," she pleaded, putting on her best puppy face.

But as she looked into her father's unwavering gaze, she realized that her hopes were in vain. "You're moving, and that is final," he stated firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument. Frustrated, Aun exclaimed, "Ahhh... papa, why can't you just take my side?" She stormed off to her room, slamming the door behind her in frustration.

Sighing to himself, Mr. Grey made his way to the kitchen, thinking about his daughter's reaction. "This girl," he muttered under his breath, a mix of understanding and concern in his voice.

BOYS DORMITORY

"Borrringgggg........I'm boooreddddd....."

Tae-Sun's monotonous singing filled the room, irritating Jae-Min to the point of frustration. "Ahh, stop it Tae! My ears are bleeding," Jae-Min exclaimed, unable to speak to Tae without raising his voice. He wondered why Tae couldn't just close his ears if his singing was truly that horrid.
