Hayes' POV;
Its been 2 days since I last talked to Ann, she won't answer my text, calls or anything. I'm very worried about her, I've never seen her sad before. The last time talked was the day of her dads funeral, I asked her how she was and she said horrible. She keeps blamming herself for his death, I tell her everyday its not she just doesn't listen. I realized that when she's upset or angry she doesn't listen to anyone, she just stays quite and shuts herself off from the world."Hayes Johhnie says you need to get ready for the track right now" Nash poked his head in the room.
"But I don't want to go" I said.
"Dude I realize your best friend is hurting right now, but you're also hurting yourself for worrying about her. I bet you she's okay, she's with her family and other friends. Maybe she needs alone time?" He said after walking in.
"I guess. But the thing is; she's been blaming herself. She keeps telling me that if she tell him to drink his life away he would still be with her" I told him. "I tell her it's not, she just doesn't listen"
"Like I said give her sometime; she'll be okay soon. Ann will have days when they're really hard, and then days when she's happy and living" he said.
"Thanks Nash" I said before he left.I arrived at the track, I saw Stephen and Luke walking around.
"You finally made it" Stephen said kbce he saw me.
"Yeah, I've been busy and stuff came up"
"We've heard. So is that Ann or whatever your girlfriend?" Luke asked.
"No, just a friend. But I don't like her" I said taking a drink of water. "Don't say "just ask her out" Nash has been bugging me to for awhile now, and I tried"
"So she said no?" Stephen asked.
"No, I tried to ask her and once again things happened and I didn't get to it" I told them.
"You should bring her here one day, so we can meet her. If you like her she has to be cool" Luke said.
"We'll see" I said as we started walking towards the track where everyone is."Whoo go Grier!" I hear someone shout as I landed; jumping into the air. I stopped the bike, parking it.
"That was stick. You're getting better" Stephen said.
"Thanks" I took of the helmet, shaking my hair around from the sweat. We did a few more rounds and then we all later just hung out.
