Ann's POV;
I felt the air contioner hit me right in my face as I walked into the dance studio.
"Hello" the lady behind the counter greeted me and my mom.
"Hi" I smiled. She was really pretty, she had long dark-brown hair and gorgeous brown eyes. I forget her name, but I believe it was Emily.
"Do you guys remember which studio it is?" She asked.
"B, right?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am" she smiled, as we left.
I walked into the back room to change, and everyone looked at me and my mom. I was a little nervous, my mom out her hand on my back, rubbing it for comfort. I truned slightly smiled at her to say thank you. "Hi" I girl with blonde hair said as we sat down.
"Hi" I said back. I looked at her for a little longer and I noticed we kind of looked a like, but she was much taller.
"You look nervous. Don't worry, Ms. Jones is nice and a really good teacher" the same girl said, as we both put on our shoes.
"Thanks. I'm Ann by the way"
"I know, Ms. J was talking about you yesterday. I also saw you walking around the studio looking around, I'm Shaylee or Shay" I nodded my head.
"Ann, I'll have to go in a little but Elizabeth will be here to pick you up at 6:00" my mom told me.
"Okay what time are you leaving exactly?" I asked taking off my shirt.
"5:30 and it's 5:00 now" I nodded.
"Okay girls class is starting" the lady that was at the counter said. We all walked out most of the girls walked without their moms, but I walked with mine still.
"Hello girls!" Ms. J said as we came in, and lined up besides each other. "As I told you all yesterday, we have a new dancer; Ann. Why don't you come up and tell us about yourself?"
I walked up in front of the mirror, facing everyone; "Well I'm Ann Moore. I just moved here from Kentucky with my mom. I'm 14, I've been dancing since I was about 4, I love the outdoors and yeah that's me" I shrugged.
"Thank you Ann" Ms. J said.
"Okay today will be an easy day, just because I want you girls to get to know each other, mostly Ann. Now moms you can go to the waiting room and we'll start!" She said. I watched my leave the room and wave bye, as I did it back.
"Ann I'm going to give you a buddy who'll show you around, help you if you need anything, and talk to you. Mmh how about Shay? Shay would you like to show Ann around and stuff?" Ms. J asked her.
"Sure!" So far she's the person that talked to me and she seems really nice.
We got into a circle and each of the girls introduce themselves, giving a type of dance they want to learn more about and then one they're really good at.
"I'm Emma. The dance I wanna learn more about tap and I'm really good at hip-hop" she said and next was me.
"I'm Ann, I want to learn more about hip-hop and I'm really good at lyrical" I said as the rest of the people went. We learned more about each other and each of us did a small improv and it was 6:00.
I walked outside looking for Elizabeth's car. I later found it, and Hayes was there too. "Hey. How was it?" She asked as I got in the back seat and Hayes moved to the back with me.
"It was alright. We didn't do much, we just learned about each other" I said as I put my hair down.
"Well your mom isn't going to be back until later so you're having dinner with us." She said as we drove out of the parking lot.
"Okay" I said as I looked out the window, I was so tried now. The drive was about 30 mintues so I tried to sleep in the car but I couldn't, Hayes was being really quite which is weird he's always talking.
"Are you okay Hayes?" I asked sitting up, so I can look at him better.
"Mmh?" He questioned.
"Why are you being so quite? You always talk" I said.
"I don't know. Just tried" he shrugged. "Same" I yawned.
We arrived at their house and I followed right behind Hayes to his room, flopping on his bed.
"Sooooo" I said trying to start a conversation.
"Soooo. Did you have fun?" He asked.
"Sure. I'm just not used to the people and stuff ya know?" I said as I found a small boucy-ball tossing it in the air and catching it.
"Did you talk to anyone?" He voice was so plain, it was weird. He was acting diferent, in a bad way.
"Yeah, like one person. Her name is Shay, she's nice" I shrugged, tossing the ball more.
"I'm bored" Hayes said letting out a sigh.
"I'm tried" I said laying down on his bed.
"Well sleep then. Dinner won't be done for another 20 minutes and I'll wake you up when its ready" he said. I just nodded, drifting to sleep.
