Hayes' POV*
I woke up from the sound of Sky running around, along with some of the guys messing around in Nash's room. I looked at the clock sitting my bedside table; 11:20. I took the blankets off of my body and walked downstairs.
"Someone's finally up!" My mom said as I sat on the couch.
"Yeah. I was up for awhile last night" I explained.
"Do you want some pancakes? There's some on the counter" She asked.
"Not at the moment. But thanks" I said.
"So who was that girl you guys were with yesterday?" She asked
"Oh Ann. Yeah, she just moved in the house across the street. She's cool."
"Someone finally bought that house?"
"Yeah" I chuckled, "its been for sale for like a year now?"
"Pretty much. Is she nice?" She questioned.
"Yeah, she was pretty quite though. Not that its a bad thing, it's actually good."
"Did she tell you guys where she moved from?"
I nodded, "she said she moved from Kentucky. I guess her parents got a divorce, like you and dad. But her mom wanted to "start over" or something" I shrugged.
"Oh. So it's just her and her mom living in that big house?"
"I guess so. She was open about things. I had to ask or whatever, but she told me."
"That's good. I would love to meet her, she sounds nice and she seems like she doesn't bother you or the guys which is even better! She's very pretty, don't you think?"
"Yeah, she is. Maybe we'll hang out again" I said.
"Sounds good. In a little bit can you take Sky to the park? She's been asking to go for a while." I nodded and got up to eat my pancakes.
"Hi" I got a text from Ann
H: Hey
A: Am I bothering you? I'm just really bored
H: Not at all. I just woke up, I'm taking my little sister to the park. Do you wanna come?
A: Yeah sure. How old is she?
H: She's 5. Don't worry she's really nice lol
A: I wasn't worried about that, I was just asking.. But that's a good thing.
H: Oh sorry. I'm going to eat this pancake and we'll go
A: Okay cool
Once I was done eating, I told Sky to get ready and I did the same. I threw on shorts, a white tee-shirt that I think it's Nash's, and red vans.
"Sky, are you ready?" I asked her walking to the doorway of her pinked out room
"Yeah" she jumped up and grabbed my hand.
"We're gonna get someone before we go. Is that okay?" She nodded her head. We walked outside, going to Ann's house. I knocked on the door 3 times before someone answered it.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked when I noticed it was Ann.
"Yeah, just once second. Mom!" She walked back inside.
"Who's that Hayes?" Sky asked.
"That's Ann. She just moved here, she's gonna hang out with us at the park" I told her.
"We can go now." Ann smiled as she stepped outside.
As we walked to the entrance of the park, Sky ran right to the monkey bars. "Your sister is really cute" Ann said.
"Thank you." I said.
"Do you get that a lot?" She laughed a lot.
"Every once in awhile" I shrugged, "do you wanna sit at the bench or?"
"That bench is fine" we walked over towards them, we sat there in an awkward silence. "Sooooo" she said trying to break it. It didn't really work.
"Hayes, come push me!" Sky shouted as she got to the swings.
"I'm coming" I said, "I'll be back" I pushed Sky for awhile once I saw Ann get up and sit at the swing next to her. I noticed Ann smile as Sky laughed kicking her legs.
"Do you want a push?" I joked around with Ann.
"No, thanks. I'm good" she laughed as she started kicking her legs to swing herself. Ann looked happy, she was really beautiful. She seemed like a good person; someone you could trust and tell anything to and she wouldn't tell anyone because she wouldn't want you mad at her. Or someone that most girls were jealous of because she was beautiful inside and out. She had blonde hair, average height and fair skin and her eyes were blue with a hint of green. Now, I can't say she's all these things because I just met her yesterday. I liked how she was quite but she opens up to you.
"I gotta go. My mom texted me, I'll text you later maybe?" She made me lose my train of thought.
"Yeah. Do you want me to walk back with you?" I asked.
"If your sister doesn't want to leave" she said. I looked at Sky and she nodded her head. We walked over to Ann and we all walked out together. The walk was quite, I was carrying Sky on my back, but she was getting heavy.
"Would you like me to carry her? So her little legs don't get tried"
"Yes!" Sky answered for me. Sky jumped down as Ann crouch down to pick her up.
"I don't think I got your name cutie."
"It's Skylynn" she said, "you can her Sky too" I added.
"Well, Sky, you're very cute, and seem like a sweet girl. What do you like to do for fun?"
"Oh gosh" I said before Sky answered, knowing she'll say something about horses.
"What's wrong Hayes?" Ann asked.
"Nothing. Sky just answer" I told her.
"I like horses" Sky said really excited.
"Oh really? That's so cute, I went horse back riding a few times."
"What do you like to do?" Sky asked her.
"I dance." She smiled.
"Do you do spins and flips?" She asked.
"Yes, like this" Ann said as she spun her a little. "What about you Hayes? What do you like to do?" Ann asked.
"I play football, lacrosse, I dirt bike, I played basketball and baseball when I was younger."
"Mmh, just my type" she winked. Did she just? "I gotta go now. I'll see y'all later." she put Sky down and walked to her house.
