Ann's POV;
I was in the room I'll be staying in for awhile now, texting Jesse. She wanted to come visit, and I wanted her to too. I haven't really talked to her since the move, so we have a lot of catching up to do. "Dad?" I asked coming down the stairs, it was 1:30 in the afternoon and he had beer out, like usual.
"Yeah?" He asks taking a bite of his sandwich.
"You remeber Jesse, right?" I asked sitting in the chair across from the couch he was sitting in. This house was way smaller than my home.
"Yes I do. Why?"
"Well can she come over? So we can catch up on things, I haven't talked to her since I moved. I've been hanging around a bunch of guys and I just need some girl time, ya know?" I said.
"No, actually I don't. But she's welcome to come here anytime" he smiled. I thanked him and ran to the room calling her, she lives a few houses down its not going to take her that long to get here.
I heard the front door open, knowing its Jesse. I looked out the bedroom window just to make sure it was her and it definitely was. I ran down the stairs and she was coming towards them. I jumped down the last stair and we hugged. I missed her so much. "Oh my gosh I missed you so much" I told her.
"I know, I missed you too!" She said as we released the hug.
"do you want to go up stairs and talk?" I asked her.
"yeah. Sounds good." We sat on my bed, "so have you been up to? We haven't talked since you moved!" She said.
"I know Jesse, and I feel bad. I'm really sorry" I said.
"Don't be, it's fine. It takes two to keep a friendship. But just tell me everything. Is there any cute boys?" Jesse was always "boy crazy" It got annoying sometimes, but I learned to deal with it.
"Well, yeah. actually there's a lot" I smiled a little.
"do you like anyone?" She asked, getting a little excited.
"Maybe..." I played around.
"You do! Oh my gosh! Ann Elizabeth Moore likes someone guys!" She shouted making me turn red.
"Shhh. My parents, not even my mom, know" I covered her mouth.
"Sorry. Its just you literally, never ever liked anyone, except for David but that didn't last longer than 2 weeks. This is huge." which was true, I didn't bother with boys. I liked to focus on important things, like school and dance.
"I know. His name is Hayes, he's very funny, he has this amazing personality. He knows how to make any situation fun. Here's a picture" I said handing her my phone.
"oh he's cute, really cute actually. Ann you have really good taste in boys. Does he like you back?" she said. I saw here move her thumbs on the screen.
"I dont know. But what are you doing?" I asked
"Facetiming Hayes" she shrugged.
"NO!" I said, I jumped up, I trying to take my phone from her but he already answered, and gave me the phone.
"Helloooo" he said entending the 'O'
"Hey Hayes sorry, my friend Jesse took my phone and called you"
"Oh, It's cool, so what are you doing?" He said.
"Oh nothing, we were just talking and stuff, how about you?"
"Nothing, it's raining again. So I've been inside all day"
"That's like the only reason I don't like the rain"
"I know. What's it like there in Kentucky?"
"Its okay. When I got here I fell right to sleep, but I miss it there already. I haven't got to do much. Probably go riding tomorrow"
"You're such a boy" He chuckled a little.
"I know, isn't she?" Jesse came into the conversation.
"Not my fault I was raised like that, sorry!" I laughed with them.
"I kn-ow" he said sneezing, in the middle of the sentence, "oh sorry, I think I'm getting a cold."
"Aww, maybe you shouldn't come outside in the pouring rain" I smarted off playfully.
"well I needed to give you a hug"
"Oh whatever, I should go, I think Jesse is getting bored, so I'll talk to you later"
"Awh. Well I'm getting tired anyway, I think imma take a nap" He said yawning.
"Sweet dreams" I smiled, hanging up.
"What do you mean you don't know if he likes you back?" Jesse shouted, making me jump.
"what are taking about?" I asked her.
"I mean; Hayes likes you!"
"No he doesn't and can you please stop shouting?" I told her
"oh but he does, if he didn't like you he wouldn't stop talking to you when you told him that I called him"
