'A face withouth freckles is like a night sky without stars'

"Good job, El!", Mike kissed her cheek as she grinned, munching the popcorn that she captured in her mouth.

"Okay, your turn.", she said grabbing a hand full of popcorn and tossing it to Mike's mouth.

Mike and Elanor had only been dating for two days but it felt like forever. They can't keep their hands off each other and they found themselves constantly enjoying each other's company.

They were currently hanging out at Mike's basement, tossing popcorn in each other's mouth.

"Oh my God, Mike. You okay?" Elanor giggled as she saw Mike fall off the couch backward trying to catch the popcorn.

"Yeah," he groaned, trying to stand up. Elanor stretched her hand out for him which he gladly took. But instead of getting on his feet, he pulled Elenor down with him. She landed on top of him with a loud shriek, their faces inches away. Eleanor could feel Mike's warm breath hitting her cheek, as they stared into each other's eyes.

Eleanor's eyes moved from his chocolate orbs to his sharp cheeks. She always found herself admiring the way his freckles were perfectly shattered across his cheek, lighting up his face like the stars lighten up the sky. Her eyes drifted from his freckles to his plump lips, wanting them against hers desperately. Luckily, Mike got her message and wasted no time, leaning forward and smashing his lips on hers.

Eleanor's stomach burst into a million butterflies, loving the feeling of having his lips against hers. Mike's hands went to her hips, pulling her closed whilst Eleanor's hands were caressing his cheekbones.

Mike pulled her bottom lip in between his own, sucking on it gently. She moaned into his mouth making him gasp in shock before kissing her deeper. He ran his tongue along her bottom lip, wanting more access to her mouth. Eleanor got that message and opened her mouth wider. Mike took that opportunity and slid his tongue into her mouth but before he got a chance to meet hers, a familiar voice called out.

"MIKE, DINNER!"

Mike pulled away slowly, letting his head hit the ground, groaning in annoyance. Eleanor leaned her forehead on his, giggling at his clinginess.

"Mike, mom wants you up for dinner.", a squeaky voice said making Eleanor jump back on her feet. They were so taken away by their make-out session that they didn't even notice Holly entering the basement.

"Oh hey, Holly!", she grinned politely at the five-year-old.

"El!", Holly squealed, jumping into her arms.

"Holly, I've told you a hundred times, only I could call her El", Mike remarked, lifting his head off the ground so that he could send his sister a glare.

"Why is Mikey on the floor?" Holly asked, finally pulling away from Eleanor.

"Mike has his reasons.", Eleanor stated with a smirk, making Holly look at him with suspicion before turning her attention back to the brunette in front of her.

"Will you play dolls with me, Ellie?", Holly begged with pleading eyes.

"I'd love to but I have to go home now. It's almost eight." Eleanor smiled sadly glancing at the clock to check the time.

"Are you sure you don't wanna stay for dinner, El?", Mike peeped, getting on his feet and straightening his t-shirt.

"My dad would literally kill me if I'm not home before the curfew", Eleanor chuckled.

"Call me when you get home, okay?", Mike kissed her cheek. Eleanor nodded and hugged Holly goodbye before taking off.

Mike picked Holly up as they made their way to the dinner table. There was a comfortable silence through the first few minutes of the meal until Karen decided to speak up.

"Can you do me a favor and pick Holly up from Lucy's tomorrow afternoon, Micheal? I have to meet an old friend of mine. He lives across town so, I won't be to make it by noon."

Mike opened his mouth to respond only to be interrupted by his dad saying,

"He?", he raised his eyebrow at his wife.

"Yes, Ted he", she stated firmly, not looking up from her plate.

"Kare-", Mike cut in quickly, not wanting his parents to fight yet again.

"No, mom. I have a date tomorrow.", he mumbled making everyone's eyes go wide except for Holly and Nancy as they already knew about Eleanor and also knew that their parents didn't.

"You have a girlfriend, Micheal?", his mom asked in disbelief.

"Or a boyfriend.", his dad said, taking a bite of his chicken. Mike just rolled his eyes at his dad.

"Yeah! Her name's El an-"

"Eleanor", Mike cut Holly off making her narrow her eyes at her brother.

"Eleanor as in Eleanor Hopper? The chief's daughter?", his mom peeped up.

"Yeah, mom.", Nancy answered for Mike.

"And you guys knew and we didn't?", Karen glanced at Holly and Nancy, making them nod.

"Wy didn't you tell us about this earlier, Micheal?", his mom turned her attention back to him again.

"Thought you wouldn't care.", Mike scoffed, staring down at his plate.

"That's not true son. We care." Ted stated emotionlessly making Mike slam his fists against the table in anger.

"You wouldn't have messed our lives up if you cared, dad!"

"Micheal, take that back.", his mom ordered but Mike just shook his head.

"No mom! Nancy wouldn't have been harassed and my life wouldn't be fucked up if it wasn't for you!", with that, Mike stormed off to his bedroom ignoring his mom calling out for him, crashing on the bed, and sobbing in his pillow.

Mike jumped at the sound of his phone going off, knowing who it was straight away. The only person that made him smile. The only person that made him feel peaceful. The only person he ever loved.
