'I don't want to rewrite memories if it's not with you.'

Eleanor was battling her thoughts between going to the fort or not. If she's ready to let Mike enter her life again or will she ever be? She knew all too well that she wasn't keen to forgive him yet. But she still trusted him, she knew Mike didn't have bad intentions whatsoever. He just wanted her back in his life just like she did, but things were too complicated yet to be normalized. Even if they get on good terms again, the haunting memory of those words exchanged, their hearts, trust and devotion broken will remain still.

Eleanor had forgotten about the plan at this point. It sure will flash her mind when necessary.

"Hello?!" Stacy's voice snapped Eleanor out of her thoughts as she stared at her blankly.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I said which shoes do u think I should get, the white ones or the..." she trailed off as she realised the brunette was paying zero attention to her.

"It's Mike, isn't it?"

"No!" she exclaimed making Stacy give her a know-it-all look.

"Yeah, you're right," she signed. Eleanor and Stacy had started hanging out after the breakup. As much as Eleanor wanted to hang with the party, she wanted to avoid contact with Mike in all ways possible. Max had offered to hang out with her alone but she didn't want to ruin her time with the party so she politely declined it. Like on cue, Stacy's friends had fallen out with her claiming she wasn't 'popular enough' to hang out with them anymore.

Stacy and Eleanor had grown closer to each other ever since. Stacy helped her overcome her break-up, something Eleanor would be thankful for her whole life. They were currently shopping for Stacy's first date with Dustin. They had liked each other for a while now but they thought it would be too weird considering Stacy is Mike's ex. After making sure Mike and Eleanor were completely okay, they decided to finally start dating.

"Spill!" Stacy exclaimed, gesturing for her best friend to start narrating.

"He invited me to the fortress," she whispered in a low voice.

"The one he built for y'all's anniversary?"

"Yeah," she said as a small smile crept onto her lips, a tiny hint of red taking over her cheeks.

"You wanna go..." Stacy giggled, pointed at her love-struck face.

"I don't know..." she trailed off, looking at Stacy for advice like she always did.

"I know you want to, besides what's the worst that could happen? I mean, it's Mike! That guy loves you to the moon and back," she said in a matter of fact way.

"Okay," she nodded, sounding confident with her decision this time."

"Great!" Stacy clapped. "Let's get you something for your date!"

Eleanor knew this wasn't a date except it felt like it was. Only that they knew each other already and wanted to know the person they've recently become.

"What about your shopping?"

"My sweater and Nike pro shoes will do," she waved it off. Stacy sure had changed a lot after she starting hanging out with Eleanor.
