'There's always one song that reminds did you of a person and it makes you miss them.'

Sometimes, being able to sit next to someone who you missed so darlingly feels like you're locked out of heaven. They are there with you but yet they aren't. Mike and El made sure their conversation stayed low-key ad they knew how far it would go if they got into it. The duo continued to talk about random stuff, currently about flying squirrels as they laughed their heads off. It wasn't the joke that made them smile, it was the feeling of pure bliss that they missed out on lately pulsing through their veins.

Eleanor was so caught up in stuffing waffles in her mouth that she didn't notice Mike picking up his guitar out of nowhere. El's eyes lit up as she gasped in awe. She loved hearing Mike play, he was a natural. It was hard getting used to not hearing it after she did it every day. Mike started passing his fingers on the strings, strumming them gently as El seated herself in front of him, her legs crossed and her head tilted to her side as she listened intensely.

"Maybe it's the way you say my name
Maybe it's the way you play your game"

Mike's voice soon filled the atmosphere as El closed her eyes in content, embracing the moment.

"But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you
But it's so good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you"

El knew this song was about her. Before her, Mike wasn't a believer in love but after her, love's what kept him going, she became his reason to live his life, for her, with her.

"And I've heard of a love that comes once in a lifetime
And I'm pretty sure that you are that love of mine"

El was the love of his life. The love the two shared can't be described in words. Their administration for each other souls was endless. It was impossible to believe the things they felt at a very young age, not knowing anything about the horrible world around them as they were too busy lining in their own.

"Cause I'm in a field of dandelions
Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine"

El opened her eyes to look at the boy in front of her, the lyrics taking her back to when they were in a dandelion field when they used to feel like the happiest people alive.

El's pov:

"Hey, Mike?" I tapped on his shoulder as he hummed in response, turning around.

"Make a wish!" I squealed, holding a dandelion I picked out to him. He chuckled sweetly before closing his eyes for a few moments before opening them and blowing the dandelion and watching as they disappeared into thin air.

He then crouched down, picking another dandelion and holding it out to me. "Your turn,"

I closed my eyes and wised for this to last forever. That I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Go on adventures with him, have children with him and grow old with him. He was the one I was meant to spend the rest of my life with and I knew that.

I opened my eyes, looking up at his adorable face grinning down at me. I opened my mouth to blow the dandelion only for it to be stuffed in my mouth by Mike.
