I wake up the morning of prom slightly irritated, mainly just because I'm nervous about wearing the dress. I really don't want anything to go wrong today, so I try to fix myself by taking a long shower and drinking some tea which does seem to help.

Anna is coming over a little later to get ready with me and the boys will meet us here. Amy and John rented us a limo which I said was too much but they insisted. We also asked Valerie if she wanted to come over to get ready but she said that she had a lot of family so the limo is going to pick her and Henry up and then take us to the prom place which I heard is held in the same building as the masquerade ball so everything should be really familiar.

Amy and John are at the hospital making rounds with their patients so that they can come home early, so right now Noah and I are in the house alone. As I'm finishing up my cup of tea, Noah walks in the kitchen to grab something to eat as well.

"Ready for tonight?" he asks after pouring his bowl of cereal.

"I'm a little nervous" I reply rinsing out my mug and putting it in the dishwasher.

"There's no need to be nervous. If it makes you feel better I promise to be on my best behavior tonight. I'll see to it myself that everything goes smoothly for you"

I smile and give him a hug. It really does mean a lot that he would do that for me. "Thank you" I say into his shoulder.

"Of course" he gives me a light squeeze and then we both walk back up to our rooms.

Once I close the door to my room my phone starts ringing. I walk over to my nightstand and pick up my phone.

"Hey" I answer since I know it's Anna.

She sniffles and gives me a weak "Hi"

"Are you crying? What's wrong?" I ask with worry laced in my voice.

"Troy canceled on me, he got sick so it's not his fault but still a little upsetting" she says with another sniffle.

"Anna I'm so sorry, I feel terrible" I frown.

"No it's okay" I already know she is trying to force a smile on the other end of the phone. "We'll still have fun right?"

"Yeah of course we will" I reply trying to sound as cheerful as possible.

"Okay so I'll see you in a few hours then" Anna sighs.

"Yeah"

I hang up the phone and sit on my small bed in the bay window. I know how bummed she is about Troy not being there and it's even worse because Henry and I have dates.

There is a simple solution to this problem, I'm just not sure if I should do it. I contemplate the idea for about thirty minutes before I finally give in and call Mason.

"Hello?" he says answering the phone.

"Hey" I breathe out heavily. "I need a favor"

At five o'clock exactly, Anna arrives at the house. I go downstairs to open the door for her.

"Hey" I say immediately embracing her into a hug. Maybe more for me than her. I hope this favor wasn't a mistake.

"Hey" she chuckles lightly as she walks into the house.

We walk up to my room after she greets Amy and John who were sitting in the living room. I help her sit her bags on the bed and she hangs her dress up next to mine in the closet.

"So are you excited for tonight?" Anna asks me as she plops down on my bed.

"Yeah" I shrug sitting down across from her. "I think we'll all have a good time"
