"Hey guys! I found a boat that is going to Port Charsmore that is willing to take us!" Patton told Logan and Remus.

"Oh? That didn't take long," Logan commented. "Who's the captain?"

"I... can't remember. I remember what the boat looks like though! The captain said he's willing to negotiate the terms. They're leaving in a few hours so we have to hurry!"

"Well, at least you remember that much," Remus mumbled. "I'm sure we'll get the captain's name when we meet 'em."

"Remus and I are all packed, what about you, Logan?" Patton asked.

"I should have all that I need," Logan answered, shouldering his bag, "let's go meet this captain. Patton, lead the way."

"Okie dokie!" Patton took both Logan's and Remus's hands and pulled them out of the hotel room.

They stopped to check out and pay before heading towards the docks. Once there, Patton led them to a galleon ship.

It was in very good condition and the wood must have been very expensive, Logan noted. The sails were white and didn't display any flag colors, however judging from the type of wood the outside was made from it had to have originated from Ochen Nation, which was troubling. Hopefully the people on board wouldn't be hostile towards them, however this was the fastest way to Charsmore.

Remus tugged on the cloak he was wearing so no one would recognize him. He followed Patton as they neared the ship.

"Um, excuse me, Diego was it?" Patton asked a man who was standing in front of the gangway.

The man was tan and a bit tall, he had brown hair and eyes. He had a white shirt and wore a brown jacket over it. He smiled at Patton and nodded, humming a yes, before looking over at Remus and Logan. "Are these your friends?"

"Yup! Do we have permission to board and talk to the captain?"

"Of course, we're happy to help."

Diego led them up the gangway and towards the captains quarters. He knocked and when they heard someone inside call for them to come in he opened the door.

"Captain Janus, Patton is back with his two companions," Diego said.

"Thank you Diego," the captain responded, "you may return to your duties. Make sure we have all of the supplies we need for this trip."

They all walked in and Diego closed the door after them. Logan took a look around the room, there was a desk at the back with a chest next to it, a bed on the side that was in the wall and on the other side of the room was a bookshelf with books and other trinkets. There were quite a few other things cluttered in the room and on the wall but what Logan couldn't help notice was two amulets next to each other behind the desk, one yellow and one purple.

"Hello again, Captain Janus!" Patton waved.

Janus smiled at them from where he was sitting at his desk. Remus couldn't help but look at the burn scar on his left eye, where he was now wearing an eyepatch with a yellow rose.

Janus noticed and asked, "Do you like it? It's a new eye patch, it's about time I got one. I had it custom made here, this is a lovely kingdom you live in."

"Why thank you," Remus replied.

"So, why do you want to go to Charsmore for? I've been there and it's not the best place."

Logan stepped up, "I'm Detective Logan Croft, and we're heading there to investigate a case."

"Oh? What case?"

"I'm afraid that's classified."

"Very well, I suppose it's important if you seem so despite to go to Charsmore of all places."

"Why are you going there if you don't like it so much?" Remus asked.

"Oh let's just say, I have some unfinished business there," Janus replied with a glint in his eye, his yellow eye.

Remus smirked, "So are you willing to take us there?"

"Depends, what will you give me in return as payment for the voyage?"

"What about my first born?" Remus joked.

Janus couldn't help but laugh in response. "Oh that's a good one, and here I thought you were gay, Prince Remus."

Patton gasped and reached for his sword.

"Oh there's no need for that, Sir Patton. It shouldn't have been a surprise, really, I've heard that you've both gone missing a few days after Prince Roman is kidnapped and here you two are with a detective. I know what you three are after, you're looking for the missing prince. And you think good old Alec is behind it, am I correct?"

"Alec?" Patton asked.

"Oh, was I wrong? I would have thought the detective figured it out yet if you were heading there. The man you're looking for lives near Port Charsmore, a good walking distance away from the sad town. I have my own quarrels against him, and you should always know your enemy, so I'm guessing he's the one that has been kidnapping nobles from your country and holding them for ransom. He might be people smart, but he's horrible at strategies."

"Well, you've got us pegged," Remus giggled. "You're pretty smart, but we're very clever ourselves, witch."

Janus's eye flashed, and Remus didn't miss the slight glow. "I don't know what you're talking about, how dare you accuse me of such a thing!"

"Oh calm down, yellow, my father might not be so accepting of magic but I'm a different breed. Besides, it's pretty obvious since you have two witch's amulets behind you and your eye is yellow. Those burns must be from a failed burning, but you seemed to have escaped. My question is, if that yellow amulet is yours, who does the purple one belong to."

Logan was surprised, he had suspected witchcraft but he didn't want to jump to conclusions so soon. He couldn't help but feel slightly proud of the prince.

"That, I do not have to answer," Janus growled.

"That's fair. Now, what I do have to offer for a safe travel across the sea is this nice sack of gold." Remus pulled out a bag that was slightly bigger than his fist and he placed it on Janus's desk.

Janus opened it and inspected the gold. It was quite a bit, looked like 30 pieces.

"I suppose this is a start, however if you are to be on my ship you are to be helping my crew. That involves cleaning and cooking as well as other chores."

"I don't know how to do either," Remus pouted.

"I'll help you, kiddo," Patton promised.

"And one other thing," Janus continued. "I told you I have some quarrels against Alec, this will be my first time back in Port Charsmore in six months. I'm only coming back to get my revenge against that man, so if you plan to infiltrate the mansion then I should warn you that I will be doing the same and... well I've already told my crew what to do to those who try to get in our way. We won't hurt your brother of course, so you don't need to worry about that."

Remus smiled, "Sounds chaotic."
